“Average experience.. good quality but lacks essence of the Kolkata Roll”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Located in the posh colony of Indiranagar, Chakum Chukum as a name definitely induces an immediate bong connection. The rolls available are good in quality, but are not really the rolls served in Kolkata. Served more like wraps, the rolls are dry and are not really a personal favourite. With a variety of options on your platter Chakum Chukum is not a bad option at all if you have never tasted a Kolkata roll.

“Really NOT a Kolkata Roll”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Ambiance - Zero place to sit or even stand, creates a disturbing scene for the neighbourhood.
Cost - expensive compared to the quality
Taste - The variety is good. The menu is expended. But all the rolls are extremely dry and is more like homemade parantha wraps. This is NO WAY a Kolkata Roll. The outlet is overhyped and I am sure there are small nameless places around BTM, Marathahalli and New BEL Road who would provide far better rolls than this outlet in half its cost

“Outstanding rolls from this little place in Indira Nagar”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We were out shopping on 100 feet Indiaranagar and my son said we must visit Chakum Chukum for what he said was among the best rolls in town.. Name sounded strange and it took a minute to realize he was serious. We drove along and I am glad we did. I am vegetarian and tried the Aloo, Egg roll and the Doube Paneer roll and they were both outstanding. Among the best rolls I had in Bangalore ... Its a small place. Dont expect fancy seating etc., But please do expect great Kolkata rolls and the place wont disappoint yoiu..

“Decent but not outstanding”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Heard lot about this place for rolls, visited this Sunday. It is small place tucked in one of the bye lanes of Indra nagar, simple roadside take away type joint. The menu is long and extensive , tried both mutton and chicken roll. The mutton roll was good and better than chicken. Overall decent stuff but not outstanding.
