I had been to Rogue Elephant a few times after reading reviews here. It turned out to be a great find. I loved the casual atmosphere and the terrace setting with lot of greenery around.

I tried the salads here and loved them. All the times, we went with their recommendations and detailed description of what the salad would turn out to be. They never disappointed and had been really good.

Staff here are very friendly and courteous. They were very patient and enthusiastic to make recommendations and describe what the dish would be like. One of the mushroom starters recommended was literally an explosion of tastes inside the mouth; just like how it was described to us.

Rogue elephant is one place I would definitely go back to.

Keep in mind, this is not a fine dine restaurant, but a very homely place run out of a converted house.

We came here for brunch and enjoyed some fresh well-prepared food. The hummus was smooth and creamy, and the fig and pannacotta salad was divine. Both were a welcomed and refreshing change as we had been endlessly eating indian food.

The outdoor garden seating is lovely as well as the service. Go here!

First of all, it is "Rogue" elephant, not rouge! We stumbled upon this gem of a place last year in Basavanagudi when we had taken our daughter to the park opposite the restaurant. We visit the place almost once a month. It is set in the courtyard of a heritage house, replete with greenery, space and the one things city dwellers value most - quiet. Ideal for our 3-year old to run around! They only have 5-6 tables and do not accept cards. The menu is not extensive, but each dish is unique and delicious. We have tried most of the items on their menu and the best ones are Moroccan stew with cous cous, pastas. The panacotta salad is over-rated and over-priced, so skip it. I am not exaggerating when I say here's where you will find the best brownies in Bangalore. Thanks to our kiddo, we have tried brownies in every city eatery and I could write a thesis on it, so I really mean they are excellent. We have spent many lazy weekend afternoons just sitting there and sipping hot tea. Good place to catch up with old friends, have undisturbed conversations and nobody giving you signals to vacate the table once you're done! This place has got everything right.

The first impression of the resturant was rustic and the very cute logo of a flying elephant. There is no air con, but we didn;t need any as the weather in Bangalore trhen was pleasant and cool. We went for lunch and were seated right in front of an artificial water stream, the sound of which was soothing to the ears and relaxing.
The lady taking order was excellent, she figured what we needed and helped us place the right orders. The food was very innovative...blend of Indian and mediterranian...no I don't mean two different types of dishes....I mean a blen with both flavours. It was finger licking and enjoyable. Loved the place and the food!
When the bill was presented...we were again pleasantly surprised as it was ver reasonable. Worth the money spent. Strongly recommend to people who love good food and are willing to experiment.
