“Samrat Residency Bangalore is not a good choice....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2011

I went on a family tour to Bangaluru, Mysore and Koorg During June 2011. In Bangalore my company booked Hotel Samrat Resi. for me. I did not enjoy my stay though the rooms were big and clean but toilets were lousy, taps and sistern were not in proper order and they did not change the room.I could clearly understand that they were trying to take advantage because I had no choice in the late evening. Room service was third class and the staff does every work after deciding the tip amount. Restaurant is good and food quality is nice but it remains over-crowded all times. Hotel's silk showroom is also not reasonable in prices. In nut shell I dont recommend this property to anyone. They are cheaters.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the silk store are good other side window views are horrible.

I have been visiting this hotel for many years - Its a clean business hotel - not equipped with the most modern amenities like wi-fi, but certainly good value for money. Most moderately priced, it has a wonderful restaurant which serves the best of south indian dishes - although Chaats and northindian dishes are also available - And the taste of all is very good whether northindian, southindian or the Chaats.
Friendly staff. Helpful, efficient and presentable - unlike other budget hotels where you find grumpy staff non-co-operative. Wonderful for short, business stays.

i went to Gangtok in the month of feb2011 & it was a fabulous trip for me, because of the hotel samrat residency................its a real hotel who give high value for the money. its very new property & the main attraction is their terrace which can be used as nice cocktail parties with a best view of entire Gangtok city & Himalaya .......samrat residency is the hotel, where you get deluxe services along with full satisfaction to enjoy anytime.................

Room Tip: management shoul maintain the same consistance...

I visited this hotel on a recommendation. First things first I was surprised to know that this hotel does not have a wifi. Which was weird.

But yeah for the price you pay you get a hotel which is clean and which is right near the Bangalore station. The staff was also nice and friendly

Being near to the station there is a disadvantage that you get a lot of train horns noise in the room.

Hot water was available all the time but it was quite slow.

Overall a average hotel for a longer stay but value for money if you just want to sleep somewhere

Beautiful hotel, reminiscent of colonial architecture, built with higher-end materials (marble and the like even for the stairsteps). Beautiful, mature landscaping; walking to/from the hotel is very restful, security guards made me feel quite secure. Very nice, spacious rooms - no sign of claustrophobia (unlike other, non-luxe "budget" hotels around the corner).
Amenities were a bit dated: old-fashioned room keys (no key card), no internet access anywhere in the hotel. Hot water ends when they decide we should be asleep, sometime after midnight.
Bathrooms, while clean, have openings to air shafts that are not as well finished (plastered/painted) as the rest of the room.
Nearby temples broadcast calls to prayer that can be heard even in the middle of the night; can still be heard, although not as loud as at other hotels in India.
Collocated restaurant is a higher-end one, quite nice.
All the staff, from the Front desk, room service, to room cleaning were extremely courteous and helpful.
Suggest you give your room key to the front desk, that avoids any chance it'll be lost while you are out and about doing your business in Bangalore.

This hotel is situated just next to ISCKON bangalore. Very nice hotel to be in, staffs are good, romms were bigger, clean. Food is amazingly good in this hotel and specially this hotel is for pure veg. Price tags were very reasonable. Hotel is situated 2-3 km distance from yeswanthpur railway station. As located next to ISCKON, not very difficult to find. Though quite far from heart of the city.

A Good business hotel which is equally good for family also. Very large size rooms with all basic facilities. Moderately priced. Location is also ok but may be little bit troublesome if you have to go to brigade road in morning as roads are very congested during the time.
Guests remember that this hotel does not have any internet facility and no food options are available after 10 P.M. Leaving these negative factors hotel is ok otherwise.
