A National Geographic explorer, a friend of mine and I hosted dinner to visiting college students from Georgia, USA before their flight to USA form Bengaluru. American College kids out of their comfort zone spent a week interacting with the Mahout community, Coorg, after which they were ready to bounce back to US. Bowring Institute a classic hangout for Britishers was nostalgic. The food was cheap and ambiance really reminiscent of the British era but poorly run. A good place to spend a nice evening with friends, the institute serves both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian along with juice bar, Chat corner and an Ice Cream stall. This place could be managed better in preserving a heritage site, however, a lot needs to be done in terms of service and quality of food, taste and maintaining hygienic atmosphere.
