Synonymous to the name, the entire street is filled with shops selling food starting from evening running till late night. Food street provides you one of the best options to enjoy food with multiple choice ranging from south indian, north indian to chat etc.,

This is one place you would not go back home hungry. You name it you will get it (well almost everything) - South Indian: Idlis, Variety of dosas, Ragi Roti, Akki Roti, Vadas, Bonda's, Bajji's .... North Indian: Variety of Rotis, Parathas, Kulchas, .... Deserts: Ice creams, Gulab Jamoon, Holige (south Indian sweet delicacy). Dont forget to visit the Shivanna's benne gulkan - a must try (Butter Gukan) store located at one the corner of the street, masala soda, masala pepsi etc. You get all types of chat here on this street. Weekends and holidays are too crowded, though food street is open throughout the day but the action is in the evening when all the outlets are open till about 11 pm. Beware of pick pockets, take care of your mobile phones & small children (they may get lost in the crowd). Finally a good place for once in a while outing.
