The Solitaire Hotel

The hotel will make sure you come back again and again, with themed rooms on each floor, it is unique in its class of hotels.
It provided a first calss service and delectable restaurants with glass roof top.
Amazing breakfast buffet with a huge menu.

Although the wi-fi signal is not up to the mark when you consider rooms over the cornet of the building.

I live in the US and was looking to throw a bash in Bangalore and finally zeroed in on Solitaire, their package is excellnt, great value. the halls are beautiful and they have choices to accommodate either a small gathering or a Large party. The variety of food offered for the banquet was tremendous and very delicious. Especially their desserts. Above all the staff were outstanding and they all deserve a raise. They were courteous, attentive and very accommodating. Especially the Asst Banquet Manager Mr Venugopal and F&B Mr Nagaraj. There was some communication problem but they made up for it and a good time was had by all. I highly recommend The Solitaire for a soirée or bash.

Best thing of the hotel is themes for various floors. Every floor is of different color and a theme which is brilliant. I was on the blue floor.
Rooms are small, dark that goes with its theme but u feel claustrophobic. Beds are too soft for comfort.
Restaurant is amzing . Maybe 10th floor with swimming pool in the middle.. They serve good food.

Lighting is switch free (you need a remote control), and some options are garish.
Rooms look modern, bathroom could do with brighter lighting to help readers.
Room Service was efficient & quick; bar menu was extensive as was the food selection.
Staff are responsive, although noise levels within the hotel can disturb (loud guests in the corridors, conference with amplified 'boom boom' music in the adjacent hall).
I had to step out several times to request neighbours; Hotel pleaded helplessness for the latter. Location can be crowded during rush hour, parking is limited.
Free Wi-Fi was a big help.

Affordable luxury hotels have been popping up around India for years now, and The Solitaire fits nicely into this category. Modern, sleek & bustling with locals and business travelers, this is the place to find Western folk in Bangalore. Conveniently located near the main train terminal, The Solitaire is an obvious pick for any visitor looking for a dose of comfort in a familiar USA setting. Very little inside or out even represents India, a sad commentary on the design, but noteworthy for those who aren’t street savvy after the long flight to the south of India.

A gorgeous high ceiling, marbled lobby greets guests behind the floor-to-ceiling glass outer wall. Once inside, check-in was effortless. Smartly dressed staff behind the front desk were all smiles for the arrival process. My travel partner and I were handed off to a beautiful young lady who escorted us to our room to show us the functions of included gadgets.

We were both saddened to have just a few hours to rest, recharge and repack after feeling the bed’s unbelievable softness. Several days had passed without a great night’s rest due to a variety of beds in just as many locations. The Solitaire was a “last night” hotel which is common for tourists departing in the wee hours of the next morning. In this case, we arrived around 3 PM with an expected check out of 10 PM.

In room amenities were generous including a mini fridge, flat screen TV, writing desk, complimentary WiFi and in-room ISD calling. And as one would expect, an en-suite western bathroom comes with full time running hot water. My only gripe was the heavy door seemed to be in the way at all times when entering, exiting or just plain using the bathroom. Two comfortable faux leather chairs provide seating with views behind of the Bangalore horse track. And finally, the interior design is finished as if ripped from the pages of Architectural Digest. A dash of color is added against a black and white background with smart results.

Neat and clean, western, modern, friendly and hospitable, The Solitaire achieves the role of the newer Indian 4 star hotel, albeit with little character. This is the place for business travelers, “last nighters”, and any tourist not quite ready to take a chance on the more unique options around the city.

Solitaire is an amazing hotel. Every bit of space is utilised to give guests some comfort. The rooms are small but have everything you would want - right from plush beds to mini bar to weighing scale. The buffet and restaurants are as amazing with a wide variety.
