We booked four serviced apartments for a family wedding in Bangalore. We chose this complex from the website for its pool, recreational facilitiesand high standards of decor.
The first two apartments offered were either very tatty or too small. The third apartment was clean and comfortable. My sisters apartment had dodgy wiring ,broken dining chairs and a view of a wall from her balcony There was no DVD player , the landline was disconnected and, although we had internet access, our family in the other 3 apartmnets did not. The complimentary Continental/Indian breakfast was disappointing - 3 small slices of limp toast, a tiny omellette and a sachet of jam arrived cold in a plastic box at 7.30a.m.
Included in the price was "access to the clubhouse, swimming pool gym etc" We were point blank refused access to the swimming pool (which was the main reason for booking the apartments) because we were "not residents" . The pool had been closed to non residents for some months but the booking company never told us and refused to give us any kind of a discount. We were never even told the whereabouts of the clubhouse, gym etc.
The final insult came when, on returning to the complex by taxi we were stopped at the gates by security and told that we had to pay the secutiy guards before the cab was allowed on to the complex!
We spoke several times to the management who basically couldn't be bothered: they already had our money. This was not the haven we needed and was very overpriced. The residents clearly do not want this type of letting buisness operating here.
