“Murudeshwar...below the Shiva's feet”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

If you intent is for fun then this is definitely not the place. The only 2 things that you could do is visit the temple and go for underwater dive.
Stay: Unfortunately all websites list RNS Guest House, rns resort, rns residency as the only hotels. There is another one called indraprastha..not sure how good the place is
RNS hotels monopolise the stay options and are over priced

Attraction: The Great Shiva Statue and the temple. The temple also offers an elevator ride till the top of the wind tower, alas one does not get anything much to view from there :(.

Scuba Diving is a great thing one gets to enjoy there. PADI offers some good diving options.

If the Govt of Karnataka can take this place seriously..the tourism can flourish much better here.

“Gods Land with No Humanity”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

Localites tease to tourist and if anybody just try to ask anything they speak arrogantly.I have been with my family on vacations we visited Gokaran and then Murudeshwar. Lovely Shiva statue to visit but Localites are horrible. Local public not cooperative, their strange behavior with tourist peoples is like spoiling the tourist spot. for food fish is cheaper and can be served well, but other food quality is a big question mark.
I would like to share an incident happened with me their is hotel named as Indraprastha we saw hotel well constructed and would like to have dinner but our experience was terrible.while having dinner the owner of restaurant was expecting to order each an every order first then pay the bill after that the order use to arrive after 15 mins.the similar experience for roti, chappati, rice, etc. Waiter was behaving like he is offering us a treat to us. Waiters and owner both were found arrogant with senior citizens and childrens (below 10 years)even with other customers. Even we complaint for the same at Police Station but nothing could happen Police was supporting the local peoples rather than the tourist who is creating revenue for Karanataka Tourism. Police were acting in similar manner and founded on civil dress even in police station. From which we were enable to recognised the policemens. complete loss of money, expectations, vacations, etc. Karnataka government should take an healthy actions to save the nature gifted place otherwise indians have great understanding nature. God bless everybody who visit Murudeshwar.
