The best part about the two rivers is just the beauty of the nature around it, mountain dogs silence and the sound of river flowing what a great view and trip to this place, you have to check it out

Beautiful scenery, wonderful drive to Alchi village. Lot of great Monasteries to visit. The people were extremely friendly and Leh was a quaint town.

Half a days activity if you are in Leh. Rafting is available in season. Beautiful place to enjoy the nature in its original form. You can sit and watch the water flowing through. Lucky ones can see the colour difference between the two rivers at certain times of the year. When I went, the two waters could not be differentiated as it was more or less Brown in colour.

The greenish Zanskar and Blue Indus water is distinct. One can see and enjoy the view from the road above the place and also get close and personal at the river bed. You can touch the ice cold water too. In summer there is boat ride too.

This place - Sangam Valley is a 48 kilometre drive from Leh and is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar.
Just the view of this Valley from the road above itself is beautiful. You can also go down and do some river rafting, click beautiful pictures.
The colours of the two rivers can be distinctly seen at the confluence. It is an amazing place to sit, relax, and enjoy.
This is also the worlds highest rafting point.
As a tourist you can spend about an hour at this spot, unless you go in for rafting!

The Sangam of 2 rivers is a beautiful site to stop by during the journey. It looks much better from a height where you can actually differentiate between the waters of 2 rivers and the junction at which they meet. Definitely worth a stop by.

sangam point(where sindhu river and zanskar river meets) which is also the highest rafting point in the world but we didn't do this activity there because our driver told us that for rafting nubra valley is much better and cheaper.
This point is called sangam because two rivers met here, one is zanskar and other is sindhu and both have different colour of water, one has brownish and other has blackish water.
