This Gurudwara is maintained by the army and they are always eager to tell you the history of this place. It good to listen to the history of this place. It's partly amusing as well.
They army provides tea anytime when you visit this place and lunch if you visit it in the afternoon.

A very well made and maintained Gurdwara. It's located in the outskirts of Leh. It's maintained by the army people.

We drove from kargil to leh and were given a special reccomendation to go and visit the patthar saheb gurudwara.. This long stretched gurudwara just a couple of kilometers before leh potrays the heroic nature of our soldiers and their faith in god. We were welcomed by the fauji's with prasad and kindness .. All of them currently are from the 13th sikh light infantry unit who undertake the maintainance of this place. The gurudwara is spic and span.. Not a molecule of dirt could be seen considering the fact that it os in the middle of nowhere.. The faujis there spoke to us in punjabi and explained the history of the gurudwara. Being an army fanatic i completely loved the experience.. I sat down with a few faujis and ate prasad with them... Any army or defence person who is travelling comes to patthar saheb to get blessings.. It is a milestone for the faujis :) you would love to go to this place, it has a vast landscape of mountains behind it and the entire battle history written down....

Good place to visit on your way back from Alchi.

This is the place where you can see a live example of the power of Guru Sahib. The rock with Guru ji's entire back shaped in it.

Have free lunch here (Langar), Delicious meal. Climb up to the 'Tap Asthan' to get a great view and the inscription of the hill in front i.e. "Chardi Kala Baba Nanak Di'.

All managed and maintained by Indian Army, even Langar is cooked by the Army. Must visit.
