“Nothing to rave about!”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

It has a pretty complicated enterance for being the most visited place in Leh. The entry fee is a nominal 5 rupees for indians but for foreigners its pretty hefty (dont remember the exact amount). It looked more like a building under construction. Has small chambers that house their historic artifacts, paintings etc. Pretty unimpressive. Houses one of the buddha statues which is ok. Go there only for the view.

“Not worth a visit”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

The only thing that is nice about this place are the great views, and those views you can also get from other places around Leh, like the Tsemo Gompa. The palace is dark inside and actually there is not really something to see. Don't expect a beautiful palace.

“Go for the Views”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

Nice place to go if you are staying near Changspa Road. Its just a short walk from the Changspa Road and is a nice short trekking opportunity. While the Palace itself is nothing too extraordinary, the view of the city from the top of the hills are great. Also the Palace looks better from a distance rather than going inside it!
