Description: The Tibetan Kitchen is a cozy and charming eatery in the bustling town of Leh. Tucked away behind a Tibetan market on Fort Road, it's one of the oldest and best place to eat in Leh. The restaurant has a humble ambience and a lovely sit out open to the sky. In peak season it is extremely crowded and at most times you have to wait to get a table. Speaks volume of the food, if the place has people flocked and waiting for a table you know the food ought to be great. Creating a variety of taste buds we serve Tibetan, Chinese, Thai, Continental and Indian cuisine along with chilled beer. The food is made fresh, we make the dishes from scratch that you have to give us enough time to have your order served and you will be pleasantly delighted. You can also sit out in the open space, order a cup of tea or coffee and some starter, read book in the evening and it can be very relaxing. Usually after the peak lunch hour the place is quiet. Other authentic Tibetan dishes like Gyako are made on request and you have to order a day ahead because it takes time to cook and are prepared in the most authentic way

Very quaint, and if you dont really search for it , you'd never find it. The good point is that its in the market itself, of the Bank of India Road. The BEST Thukpa, loaded with fresh veggies and yummmm!!

t’s famous but we weren’t too impressed. The place is nice near a car park but the food was a little bland for us. We expected more given the hype. The ginger lemon tea was delicious. The momos was a bit of a let down.

Highly Dissapointing ! May be the hype created had played a bigger role in the disspointment with the food. A distance fom Changspa, where we were tucked in to the hotel. The wife had heard so much about the place that no matter what could have been the persuasion, she would not have budged but to have dinner at the Tibetan Kitchen. Frankly, i have had better soup at many road side vans in New Delhi, and the Momo too. The Food was very bland, very dry, and so was the service. Even though the name itself suggests it is a place for tibetan delicacy but most of the people sitting were having desi indian food. We were there only for the Tibetan food, which was a far cry away from being anything near to edible.

Very good food and lovely owners. Please try their Garlic Potatoes. Am not a very veggie type of person but had this dish more than once. Also try their Thukpas and Chinese dishes. Easy to find - in the main market area, near the SBI ATM.
