We had travelled to chumathang from pangong and stayed 1 night at Chumathang. Then on next morning we reached Tso Moriri at 10 AM. Because of chumathang stay, we had reached Tso moriri early and was able to spent more time there.

Tso moriri is better than Pangong Tso because of it is 1000 ft. higher, Bird Sanctuary Green grass on Tso moriri lake shore, near mountain and Less tourist. There are many other spots on the way to Tso moriri like Tso Kar, Kayger Tso, Chumathang, Nomardic area, Indus river, Leh-manali road and Tanglang La Pass.

We had tent accommodation for night stay. Tso Moriri is coldest area of Ladakh so hard wall accommodations are recommended for night stay. There are many home stay available at Karzok village.

At Karzok 1 ltr water bottle cost around Rs. 40/- so we had purchased 30 ltr of water from Leh before going to Tso moriri. At the end as a responsible citizen of this planet, we had taken all our garbage from Tso moriri.

Mobile phones do not work at Tso moriir.

This has got the longest travelling time out of all the lakes, from Ladakh. Yet it's awesome that you cannot miss it for its remote location.

Beautiful comparatively with Pangong, it has got the deepest blue color water and the green field beside the lake makes it still more mesmeric.

We visited this lake and were mesmerised by the beauty and charm of the lake and its surrounding. The panoramiv view enroute to this lake is the usp

Cold breeze alongwith almost frozen lake was a treat to eyes.

We chose to go here instead of pangong and from what I heard from our fellow travellers(who had been there the day before) it seems we made the right choice. The lake is absolutely stunning and very peaceful.
Ask around for hotels since some overcharge(we paid 400rp for a double, very basic) and make sure youre properly acclimatized. Its a long drive(decent roads for the most part) but well worth it. I will be returning.
