“Best in the terrain”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

It is the only option there. One of the leh's most remote areas.
The view it gives of the lake is absolutely worth every penny.
There are 2 options- tent and well built rooms. we had chose tent as we had done prior booking.
Clean and coozy. They have attached toilets and clean also. Hot water can be arranged on request.
Food is also good (jain food available on request), they have separate big tent as dining room.
Electricity is available for just few hours in evening.

Room Tip: Choose the built in rooms if available there are just 5 rooms rest are tents

Everybody who visits this place wishes to see all the colors the amazing and grand TsoMoriri lake has to offer. The only expectation before checking in into our tent was that it should be clean, comfortable and offer some good food in dinner. And TsoMoriri tents were completely on expectations and we had a pleasant stay here. Though food could be improved but definitely not in the category of bad.
The view from the resort is great. I would recommend these tents.

Room Tip: Tents facing the lake.

We stayed here while traveling as a part of one large group. We stayed in tents, some of our friends actually got a properly constructed room, which is more spacious and slightly warmer. Prefer if you can get one of these rooms, but even the tents are not bad at all, the attached washrooms are clean and functional. To be honest, none of it will even bother you when you look at the lake in front of you. Right from outside of your tents you can enjoy a spectacular view of the gorgeous Tso Moriri.

We stayed here for a day and a night. Dinner was good, hot spicy soups and local preparations suited very well for the extremely cold and windy evening. Breakfast was very disappointing and we just had a few slices of bread with tea. Electricity in Korzok village usually is cut off around 10:30pm, so keep the flashlights handy. If you are picky about food, keep a few pots of cup noodle.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms over tents, if not available choose tents closer to the rooms. The tents closer to...

I'm surprised at some of the reviews being not so great. Possibly my friends and I just got lucky or we are more realistic and less picky! Either way we spent two nights in the cabin which has an attached bath. Seemed really nice, considering that we were in the middle of nowhere, except expanses of beauty. None of us were looking to spend a lot of time indoors in any case. The beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, the meals were basic but hit the spot and the location was great. What else does one need in Ladakh?
The first day I was there, I was just recovering from an upset stomach and the folks in the kitchen gladly made special meals for me. The staff was very friendly and we exchanged a lot of stories. Which for me is always part of the experience and memories.

Room Tip: You have a choice between tents and rooms. Depending on your budget, I don't think you can go wr...

Perched just above the Tsomoriri lake, with a vantage view of the entire lake is the Tsomoriri Resort and Camp. Run by Divinder Singh Aswal, popularly known as Lavi, this Tent resort also has a few huts thrown in.

The tents are surprisingly comfortable and have a bathroom attached. Tea, Coffee, Breakfast ad dinner are again a part of the package which runs to around 1250 per person. Hot water is on demand, the food is laid out buffet style, (vegetarian) and the view is fabulous.

The best thing is the hot water bottle they supply just as you are slipping into bed. Comfort becomes more comfortable.

Lavi also arranges for treks in this region and is fully equipped. He is himself a consummate trekker and loves to explore the tops of the mountains which look down on Tsomoriri..

Room Tip: There are huts but staying in the tent is an adventure one should attempt

I stayed at this camp for one night on 4th July 2012. I was given a cabin with twin beds and an ensuite with toilet, sink and shower. The cabins are basic but clean. The lock on my door didn't work properly so I had to prop the chair up against the door during the night as the wind was so strong it would open the door. I arrived in the afternoon from Leh and spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Korzok village and the lake. Dinner was served at 7.30pm. This camp is located a short walk from the village. Considering where Korzok is located the accommodation is good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Once the sun went down the wind was freezing even in July! I really enjoyed the remoteness of the place and loved walking down to the lake and the feeling that I was the only person around for miles. I spent some time with some local village women who were spinning wool and also spent some time with nomadic goat farmers on the way back.

we booked three times tsomoriri resort. we've got the confirmation voucher and traveled to tsomoriri lake. three out of three times we faced a mess!
first time they didn't give us the booked cabin - instead put us in one of their tents, where we faced one big rat. instead of staying another night with rats we decided to return to leh.
second time we arrived from leh early afternoon - our booked and confirmed cabin was given to other travelers already (probably paying more). it was the time of the korzok festival, we couldn't find another accommodation but a windy and dirty tent. again we returned one day earlier.
the third time we finally got the booked cabin, booked for two nights. a miracle? no! after one night a big international group arrived - and they kicked us out!
now we'll kick them out! never again tsomoriri resort!

Room Tip: don't book it in advance - you can't be sure to get the room. there are cheaper and better...
