Kashmir is a haven fit for the gods. The sights and sounds are in harmonious bliss. The mountains.... The rivers... This unpretentious place is humble yet grand in scale. It's a perfect place to commune with nature and yourself.
Trekking in the mountains with the gypsys (mountain people) is an enriching experience that taught me simplicity, strength and humility. I know all about entertainment but the people living there knows pleasure. They live one day at a time, and they have all that they need... fresh air, fresh food, class A view and the whole world around them. These are one of those rare moments where you can say, "This is life!"
Thanks to Arif and specially to my two reliable guides Shabir and Sadakat. My Kashmir trip couldn't have been any better without you guys.
