Stayed there for 2 nights, felt really good.
The staff are polite and helpful, the rooms are spacious, the service is good.
The Manager Mr. Arun Kotwal is a very helpful person.
The tariff is also affordable and it is value for money.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days end of September.
Pros:It’s a decent Budget hotel, which means you shouldn't be expecting too much. Service was good and the rooms were clean which is a big factor for me in selecting hotel. As it was not a peak rush period we directly went to the hotel without having any prior booking. We got good discount in the range of 40%. Food was good and not very expensive even for room service. We had all our meals in hotel itself.
Cons: Generator makes lots of noise. It would be difficult to suggest good rooms as the rooms in the front will be close to main road and will have noise from Road. Rooms in back will have lots of disturbance because of generator. It was not a big issue for us, but may be for some people.Hotel arranged taxi for complimentary drop and pick-up at Banganga. After having the darshan when we were back at Banganga it took close to 45 mins for taxi to reach after we called hotel. It was a harrowing experience. Because of this I am not giving it a 4 star.

Room Tip: Generator makes lots of noise. It would be difficult to suggest good rooms as the rooms in the front...

We stayed in this hotel from 25 Aug, 2012 to 27 Aug, 2012 with family. We actually landed in this hotel by chance as the earlier tat was recommended surya lodge was pathetic. The exteriors and the interiors of the hotel are very good. very well maintained & clean. The food is just like home tasting pure vegetarian at a very reasonable cost. The staff is very friendly. Its all under one roof hotel. You can do dry fruit shopping within the hotel at pooja dry fruit shop he also arranges for yatra trip and darshans and helipad though we didn't use this facility. we purchased dry fruits from there it is a bit higher side cost as compared to market prices but the quality is very good so worth it. the hotel also provides a pick up & drop facility to Banganga. We also got a cab arranged for a drop to Jammu railway station and also a site seeing tour in jammu that is a visit to Jambwnath cave temple & raghunath mandir. The driver was very friendly. The booking at the hotel can be done by mailing hotelsahil@yahoo.com or on phone 09622373896 - Tilak Raj. www.hotelsahilkatra.com. All of us had a really nice time. Any time visit to vaishno devi sahil hotel is the place to stay for sure. thanks for all the hospitality. they also accept credit cards.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 103 and 104 they were good.

My experience is very bad with this hotel. We stayed at Hotel Sahil on 26 Feb 2012. We reached by our own vehicle in the evening. The room for driver was worst than byre with full of bed bugs. So driver slept in the vehicle only. In this way bed bugs missed their night-party. Our damp smelling rooms were on the first floor so we requested for new rooms & we got it on the same floor. We put our luggage in the room & went immediately for visiting Mata Vashno Devi Temple around 9.00 pm. The vehicle Maruti Van arranged by Hotel Sahil was in horrible condition but driver was good, he dropped & picked us up from Baan Ganga. We came back from temple around 5.00 a.m. and as we all were very tired we slept immediately. but after some time because of annoying noice of generator it was impossible to sleep. When we asked about this annoying sound of generator the reply from the manager was shocking...... He simply said, "We can't change our 12 years old generator with the new Silent Generator for you". Being in service industry this kind of answers were unexpected....... I won't recommend this hotel to anybody but you can...... if you want to take revenge.
