We were two families (4 adults and 4 children 10-13 years) and stayed for 4 nights from March27th to March31st 2013. I did a thorough research on the internet, especially with the help of tripadvisor before booking this resort. We were on MAPAI meal plan (breakfast & dinner included).

I would rather put the bad experiences first and then the good ones.

Let me start with exteriors, reception, lobby, gallery areas: On these fronts I think the property and management requires a facelift. There was some expansion going on one side of the property due to which construction material was lying in front. The front garden is not well maintained and requires a revamp. Reception, lobby and gallery areas are not well lit. Mostly fit with CFLs and that too only 30-40% were lit and rest were off. Looked like the hotel was on a power saver mode. Although after we pointed this out to the management they put on all the lights. We found most of the places (hotels and restaurants) in Manali on power saver mode and these are very dull and poorly lit. So, maybe this is a general system in Manali.

Food: Welcome drink was not good at all and was kind off a mere fomality instead of really making us feel welcome. Breakfast & Dinner on the first day was good. However they booked two buses full of medical students from Chennai for second and third day and this is where things went really bad on the food & restaurant front. Buffet breakfast and dinner had very repetitive and simple items like chole bhatura, dal etc. Felt like eating at a langar.

On the third day we had to really reject the buffet and ask them for ala cart, which was done. Once we were on Ala cart, the food quality and vaiety was good. On the check-out morning they packed specially ordered breakfast for us and was ready for us on time @ 7am.

Disco & Bar: Disco and Bar was good and we enjoyed two evenings there.

Gaming: Children enjoyed the gaming area. It was not big, but many hotels do not have this, so it was an added activity.

Housekeeping & Room Service: Excellent housekeeping & room serving. Staff was very courteous. We were in Duplex rooms, which had two complete sets of rooms, like two sets of beds, two sets of sitting area, two tvs, two bathrooms etc. This was really good and spacious and family could accomodate very well. There was a small basic kitchen with electric kettle. Fridge was available, but was empty. Outside view from the duplex rooms are pretty cool.

Location: Location-wise it is roughly 2 km from Mall road. So, you cannot get down and walk to the market. However, if you prefer to remain away from rush and have a quite evening walk it is perfect place. You have to take your car or get some sort of a conveyance to reach the main Manali Mall road, especially if you are with family.

Overall the experience was not bad, but could have been better epecially if they had planned properly on the days when they booked a group. So, my word of caution for visitors is that if you have a group booked in when you stay here, ask for specially prepared breakfast and dinner for you and ask them to reserve your table so that you don't have to wait for the group to finish eating.

Room Tip: Duplex Rooms are a must for family visitors. If you are on MAP, ask for food that you want and is...

I had decided to book this hotels after multiple reviews and location preferences, I must say this is a great hotel with good value for money, the location of this hotel is appropriate, only 2 kms from mall road, located away from already congested mall road, although very much approachable. Rooms are well maintained , actually better then my expectations , food was better from what I had expected and travel services are also good if you would want to book a taxi etc.

The hotel staff is very empathetic and friendly and the hotels services are good, we booked Royal room and had a very nice river side view with snow capped mountains.

Would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Manali.

I was at Manali INN with my younger brother and two of his friends from who were from Mumbai.
They arrived directly at Delhi, and I drove my car all the way from Agra. Then we visited Shimla for two days and then MAnali, after a long tiring drive, we checked in to the hotel and very helpful guy from the hotel took all the luggage from our car to the room directly.

It was one of the best room, probably the best room I have ever stayed. It was the Duplex at the top floor. Totally built by wood, and no doubt, the upper floor of the duplex was better then the lower one. All 4 of us slept in the upper floor keeping the lower one untouched for all the three nights we stayed there.

I was personally loving being inside the room, having my handy cam on to record the snow-covered peaks of Himalaya, the Beas River and the one of the finest example of land-scaping at the down ... Garden.

and then came the best part of our trip, The food, it was out standing, one can close his eye, put the finger any where on the menu card, you will have the taste - AWSOME...

I had never before tasted he Hot-N-Sour Soup best then here.
and ya, there was some group of students from Jodhpur probably staying there, we joined them in buffet dinner.....the KHEER was great...cant explain the food quality..it was simply awsome. They must pay the CHEF half of the bill amount I paid them, I wish.

Hotel staff was also very polite and humble as a professional staff should be. even the young boy who served us food in our GREAT DUPLEX never minded making more then 12 rounds from the kitchen to the top floor that too on the upper floor of the duplex......on the very first day of our stay.

And ya, you can enjoy the BHOOL BHULAIYA of JANTAR MANTAR of Jaipur/Delhi in this hotel.
walking in the pathways and corridors is really thrilling and exciting as it hold un-countable turns, and you can not reach your room in one attempt...as entire path way seems to carry you to some new place. On the third day of our stay, when we were checking out, we hardly managed to identify our room without any help.

Room Tip: if you can afford, go for the DUPLEX. you would have a feel like staying at your own home in MANALI...

We opted for our honeymoon to Manali. The tour was well organised by Ms. Nancy and she prepared our itinerary with transport and recommended us The Manali Inn. The hotel staff was very polite and courteous. We really enjoyed our trip in the cool month of February as the hotel had central heating. The arrangements for candle light dinner made us feel really special. The view from the hotel was also amazing.

All together it was a wonderful experience.

We stayed in Manali Inn for 3 days. And we were very happy that we chose Manali Inn for our honeymoon. Hotel staff is courteous and very helpful. Food was excellent. When we checked in we were not happy with the view from our room. The manager promptly shifted to another room which was on higher tariff but didn't charge us a penny for the upgrade!!!

The room was very clean. The wooden decor was excellent. Also the market is at about 5 mins walking distance.
Food was excellent. There is a lot of variety for both veggies and meat eaters. We visited in the month of December and it was very cold in Manali but our room was pleasantly warm.

The Candle night dinner that the staff arranged was also great. Though there were other couples besides us there was bit of privacy ;-)

I would definitely recommend staying here for the food and the staff!!!!
