“Lovely stay”
Reviewed June 21, 2011

We booked the room thru an agent n on turning up were shown to a room on the ground floor, with a view of the back gardens and a view of the mountains in the backdrop. We had booked a package n hence were entitled to breakfast n dinner plus morning n evening tea.The service, I must say, was stupendous. Before you closed your mouth, after making a request, it was complied with. The tea served in the room was good.Nothing extra was charged on account of my 8 year old son, though, it was mentioned on their site.
The food, served both for breakfast and dinner, was good. For dinner, you had choice of veg n non-veg soup, salads, one starter n a choice of Indian, Himachali n Chinese dishes. One non-veg dish was there. Each item was well- prepared,in little oil n quite tasty. There was a choice of two desserts for dinner and two drinks ( ex. juice and lassi) for breakfast. The breakfast had choice of Continental, Indian and South Indian preparation. The dinner was accompanied by live ghazals. We had ordered Spring rolls from room service and the preparation as well as quantity was good. The stewards n the receptionists always served with a smile. The rooms were clean n so were the bathrooms.
Oh yes, the fruits and the cake from the Honey Hut was really good!
The hotel is located in the 'log huts area, and thus, beyond the mall.A beautiful place to relax.Their travel desk was also helpful in arranging for a visit to Rohtang Pass at reasonable rates. At the spa, a masseur is available on call, for just Rs.800 and sauna and steam is complimentary
And, the visit ended with a small token of Himachali Cap n slippers! I would suggest this resort to anyone going with a family.A memorable stay, especially because of the service.

It was my second choice when i decided to stay in Manali for a week...so divided my stay in couple of hotels.Manali Resorts ( now known as Aveda Resorts ) and Manali Heights. So after Spending couple of days at Manali resorts.. checking in Manali heights surely made me feel the huge difference between both the hotels..though i am going to review this hotel on an individual level.. !

Pros :
1. Closer to Hidimba Temple and Mall road.
2. Good View of the Mountain Ranges.
3. Clean and Hygenic rooms n most importantly the bathrooms
4. Attentive Staff
5.Cozy rooms and a nice sit out area.Loved to just sit there and have a coffee.

Cons
1. was bit disappointed to see some huts Around spoiling the view some what.
2.No Lift. Makes it very difficult was the
3.Buffet was free and made me realize Nothing good comes for Free.even the dinner was bad n hardly could eat anything.
4.When asked for the heater they said they provide a heater only in the evenings.. n whatever they provided was hardly of any use.

All in all a good clean , Value for money kinda Hotel..but Food..Avoid Strictly..Its expensive and there are many better options available in and around Mall road area which turns out to be cheaper and better in the end even considering the rickshaw cost

Hotel rooms are nice, comfortable & cosy. All rooms have large LCD TV that gives perfect viewing experience. Its not too far from the mall road in Manali. You get nice view of snow capped peaks as well as thick pine & deodar forest from your room balcony. Its sheer pleasure.

Room Tip: ask for garden / forest facing rooms.

I stayed at this hotel with my newly wed wife on our honeymoon in Feb 2011 for 3 nights and was satisfied with the deal that I had got. Frankly the hotel did not amuse us as much as the surrounding (My room had the best view of a huge ice clad mountain) and can best be described as an average hotel that is neither too good or bad.
We had selected a MAP package that included breakfast and one meal in it. The buffet meal is clearly not a gourmet spread and one can expect repetitions if staying for long. The breakfast spread was vast and good. Overall the food quality did not match our other hotel Aamod in Shimla that we had come from.
The room was well heated thanks to an electric coil heater and the bathroom (Far from luxirous and similar to a bathroom one would find in a normal 2 bhk residential flat) had 24 hrs hot water supply.
The downside was a horrible spring mattress that caused severe back-pain and discomfort. On request, it was duly replaced by a coir mattress the next day though. Also the hotel does not have elevators and has 3 floors.
I would recommend shelling out no more than 2000 Rs. per night for the property.

The view from the rooms were absolutely breath taking..The rooms were quite spacious and well maintained. Staff were also helpful. Can improve on the food part. Could include live counters during breakfast.

The hotel stay at Manali Heights was one of the best part of our trip other than visit to the Snow Point at Gulaba. The hotel room was very good- neat and tidy with bed linens clean. Photo and reality match. Deluxe rooms have balconies that open upto beatiful snow capped mountains and deodhar trees. Service in the hotel, both for room service and at the restaurant is excellent. The breakfast package is also good and the hotel has a beautiful reception. The hotel is about 2 kms from the mall road, and one needs to walk down a little bitt (about 200 mts) before one can get an auto to mall road. Auto to and fro from mall road to hotel costs Rs 50/-. Taxis charge very high premiums for log hut area and rates depend on hotel one stays. Hadimba temple visit is walking distance from a short cut route, spanning about a km. The hotel has a good garden and small children can enjoy swings and some rides while elders enjoy the meals outside. Food quality is also very good. The hotels accept credit cards and overall, it is a key contributor to a wonderful stay at Manali.

Room Tip: Please choose Deluxe Rooms, on 1st or 2nd floor
