“had great time at snow valley resort”
Reviewed January 27, 2010

I got to know about this hotel from online resources and found interesting. However my travel agent gave me this hotel as choice when was booking a honeymoon package for shimla, manali.
Had great experience there. got a cool welcome, the reception area is nicely decorated and you will love the ambiance.
Room were really neat and clean + i liked their orange color theme for the delux room. However i didnt like the food and was bit expensive as well.

hotel is bit expensive when booked individual but will be affordable if coming through agent or offers.

overall it didnt disappoint me and kept upto the name.

What I liked about the hotel was the location (at Log Hut Road) which is close to the shopping hub of Manali yet serene and secluded enough. HPTDC's Hotel is at the end of the street, stonethrow away and that is significently more expensive. The staff is very courteous and the hotel has an old world charm. Food is average. At the rear, you get wonderful view of the vast Government park. Hidimba temple is just short walk away. And while walking, on one side is stream of water and a small bridge over it.

Me and my wife stayed there for 4 days on our first date after marriage thats our honeymoon and i was really very happy that stay i this hotel turned out to be one of the best holidays i enjoyed. As even small inconvenience at this lovely stage of life matters a lot.Good Hotel to chill out in Manali. But thanks to Yatra and snow valley resort that i turned out to be very pleasent. All was good food, location, view, service of waitors etc. If would have give ratings i will 9/10. A full value for money resort recommend this hotel to everyone
We were totally satisfied. It was really a nice stay and the location was fantastic. Staff was great and the services were nice. Lightning of the room could be improved though.
. The Best point of this hotel is its location. Its located in the North side near the loghuts area away from the Mall and Noises. Pretty Peaceful and Pleasent.I've already recommended this hotel to all my friends and family. The hotel was memorable. Everything was excellent. We enjoyed our Manali stay a lot.

Today is more than a month has been passsed of my returned from Snow Valley, manali. But the memories of that worst trip is still rounds in my mind. Sometime I ask myself why I chose snow valley. I chose deluxe honeymoon package but the standard of room provided was far below than a standard/average room.
I was at minus 1 level and there is renovation work is going on at minus 2 level, due to that I never feel a moment of piece in the hotel.
The buffet system of meal was one more distraction of that hotel, because the unproffessional approach in the menu can easily be jugded.
There was nothing to appreciate in that hotel.

We stayed in Snow Valley during December...the best thing which i liked was the mountain view from thehotel...they have beautiful terraces with breathtaking view...we stayed in maharaja room which was a newly built room with very good ineriors and a big LCD TV ...infact they have recently done refurbishment of all their rooms and place is really cool...staff and their hospitality is wonderful especially Parveen at front office who also guided us about manali sightseeing and arranged taxi for us at very good rates ...we loved our food and the spread of buffet was good with decent variety and daily change in food items

overall well recommended place at manali...will love to stay again

Hi,
The experience we had at the stay in the Snow Valley Resorts Manali was horrible.
1. The reception staff is not hospitable at all. They don’t even wish the guest and talk very rudely. To top it all they throw attitude.
2. The rooms were not clean. The infrastructure is good but not maintained. The floors are not mopped since God knows how long. There is dust everywhere.
3. We stayed there for 3 nights and had Breakfast and Dinner Buffet cost included in the room tariff. All the three days they served chicken and mutton for dinner as part of the buffet. The mutton was not actually mutton. It was Beef. (I eat both mutton and Beef and can recognize both. I have been eating both for thirty years now) When questioned and told that this is not mutton, they were adamant in saying that it was not mutton.
To top this, most of the menu items including chicken and so called mutton was being served every day with different names (because it was not getting over). The second day I understand they added some butter and renovated the dish and named it different. Largely one can easily make out that the dish was same as of the previous day and stale.
4. The rooms have a balcony which is having a good coat of dust on the barricade it has. When asked they said it is indeed clean and that’s the best they can do.

The reception was I think never trained about the hospitality they can show to the guests. When we tried to bring this to the notice of the management, they only gave a smile and ignored it.

Overall, it was a very horrible experience with respect to food, service, hospitability which are the major key deciding factors of the hotel industry. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
