Have been to manali and stayed in quite a few resorts and huts but nothing beats my stay this time, all thanks to the majestic property. You have to think really hard to write something bad about the place. All i can think is that some people wont like the location as the hotel is away from the mall road.(though i loved the location as it is away from the hustle bustle of the city). The view of the hills is awesome, the rooms are spacious, the washrooms are very well made and the staff is helpful. You can feel the owner has spent lot of time and money to build this place. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay memorable. A MUST STAY IF YOU VISIT MANALI ...CHEERS

Room Tip: Take the room which has a balcony as the view is awesome

we booked this hotel for our 3n stay at manali based on recommendation by yatra rep and it turned out to be a really pleasant exprnc. snow peak is a three star property with an amazingly beautiful view to snow capped mountains from the rooms balcony . the staff and the management was extremely cooperative and helpful with every possible details.

the rooms are spacious with 3 dffrnt categories as stated on their website. Rooms are equipped with electric kettle, lcd, geyser and other basic amenities. the food isn't awesome but pretty decent enough to fill our tummies :) the hotel is not far off from the bus stand and is very near to one of the famous tourist spots i.e hadimba temple. the hotel has a big lawn too.

an extremly nice place to stay.

It was the opening of the Snow Peak Retreat Manali in mid-May and myself being a tourism journalist and member of Himachal Tourism Board, the hotel management offered me a 2-day complimentary stay to review their property, search for the loopholes and help them increase their efficiency of serving the tourists in a better way. Though the property is 2km away from Main Manali market, which may irritate some tourists who want to be close to the Mall Road, but the hotel is perfect for those who want to feel the happiness of being close to real Manali, with unmatched view of mountain ranges, snow-laden hills, deodar forests and entire Manali town right from their room. With each room having magnificent valley view, customers need not to worry about the category of room, which otherwise have been categorized on the basis of space, balcony and interior. Hotel has a vast restaurant with variety of cuisines, own parking and a big garden/play area to relax in. Plus point of the property is a local village family who is running it themselves and have employed enough staff to serve guests in the fraction of minute. Negative point was hotel having no hording on highway for the convenience of guests in reaching hotel without much worries. But according to owners, the landmark Hadimba mandir is enough to track road to their property. Another negative point is bus parking is about 50mtr before the hotel, however owners claim road would be widened soon and currently they are ferrying passengers by small vehicles. And we spotted some Tempo Travelers parked in the basement of the hotel. Hotel has a perfect interior with beautiful wooden work and owner said they didn't seek help from architect but most of the parts of hotel were decorated by Mehar Chand Thakur, one of the oldest hoteliers of Manali, who is proud owner of Holiday Cottages and Resorts, the property which recently occupied number 1 position in most of the online booking engines and portals. The youngest son of Thakur family, Ludar Thakur, is taking care of the management, who earlier undergone management training with Mr Mehar Chand Thakur's Holiday Cottages and Resorts. Overall, I gave 4.8 points out of 5 to the property, and found that guests were expressing "Wow" factor after reaching here.

Room Tip: All rooms are perfectly decorated and provide a vast and beautiful view of entire Manali town below...
