It is more than you expect! The decor, setting the trail upto the restaurant are simply superb. It reminds you of olden days, when there used to be less crowd and you would find a delightful little corner in the city - only this one is much better!

The location is excellent and the food is worth drooling! Only I wish they could simplicize the menu a bit; but then again that would take away part of the fun! A bit pricey though relative to Manali. But then you do not come across such places in main cities leave alone a hill-station!

A relaxed mood and plenty of time are part of the dress code. A must visit.

Best part is that it is far from the town and is located amidst orchards, nicely done decor and good french food. Only grudge, they are not properly advertised by that I mean no signboards showing the directions. We just went walking looking for the restaurant and had our food. While going back it started raining heavily, the restaurant people were helpful and dropped us to a convenient location in their auto.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who are related to the owners (Lali and Shivani) of La Plage Manali. Having had a great experience at La Plage in Goa, we decided that this was a MUST DO while we were holidaying at Neeralaya resort in Kullu. We drove from Kullu to Manali and upto Kothi to take in some of the wonderful vistas of the mountains. On the way back, we took a detour which took us off the main road into a narrow track with some breathtaking views of the mountains, orchards and passing by some beautiful houses as well. We reached La Plage in time for lunch on a bright sunny afternoon. We were delighted to see that there was a large patio and garden that allowed outdoor seating amidst fantastic views ! The food matched the setting. It was simply delicious and top class in french cuisine - be it the tomato crumble as a startet of the chicken with morels (cooked to perfection !) Lali and Shivani are a dynamic couple adding their personal touch to the service and we are sure they will take the La Plage franchise to even greater heights.

Gr8 concept. La Plage came in as a pleasant surprise from the packed & crowded sight seeing tour at Manali. We were a bit late for the main cuisine but the place is gr8 for a light evening cuisine tucked amidst apple orchards. 10 on 10.

Went to this lovely place on 19 June in the evening at 8. The way to it would remind you of Robert Frost, nature trail along the Himalayan River Beas on your right. After a slight walk through the wild wild east, you enter this wonderful place and you see a big garden with trees and music. Nature, tables and chairs, can go well together, now I know. Then theres the indoor dining hall with all the warmth and french aromas. Wines and music flow beautifully. The food is typically French and yes, the chef does know how to titillate your palate. The whole place is gracefully done, with art works, paintings and sitting choices that suit your need. A very charming lady, Ms. Shivani came to meet us followed by her dog in the garden just before our desserts, who happened to be the owner of the place. I couldn't stop myself from asking her about the person who made this place, painted all the paintings and yeah, she was the artist. So to sum up, I had a beautiful time here, would love to return again someday. Warm wishes for Shivani. The place is a must visit if you also like Nature Music Food Wine Art and Warmth.
