Description: Serving a great selection of all-day fare from American, Continental and select Indian cuisine, along with dedicated breakfast, lunch and dinner items, and a fully stocked bar, Drifters’ Café is best known for its vibe that allows you to achieve a lot by doing nothing at all.Walk in any time of the day, and you’ll find that time takes on its’ own pace. Take your pick from a selection of exciting board games, relax in the comfort and warmth of fireplace on a cold snowy day, browse on our free WIFI, swap stories with fellow travelers from around the world or just laze around with a book from the library or while listening to some of the best music in town. Post sunset, the Café takes on a different flavour. You could be seated next to a singer from Latin America, a banker-on-a-break from Europe, a journalist from Russia or even an exotic dancer from the Middle East. We run day's special menu during summer months. We even extend our Cafe service on the first floor Sun Deck during sunny days.We often have different themed events happening in the Cafe, like Live Acoustic Music, Karaoke, Quiz Nights, Live Electronic Music & more. All of it contributing to making your evening a fun experience. Ask any regular visitor to Old Manali, and he’s bound to tell you “Drifter’s Inn and Café is where the action’s at!” At the risk of sounding a bit immodest, no, he wouldn’t be exaggerating.

After eating a couple of poor or average burgers, I was encoured by the good ratings to give this place a try. I was not disappointed.
The paddy was crispy and juicy. The bun, the toppings and the mayonnaise were supreme as well. So I had a tasty veggieburger including nicely arranged side dishes. Today I went again to try the lamb burger. I feel equally satisfied.

We went to Drifters for dinner based on a friends feedback. Simply awesome food! We went with kids and I have to say this is one place in old Manali that u can safely go with children. Very nice ambience - they have tons of games so kids can pull out their games and were more than happy which made us happy. But the food really is very very good. Thanks Nishant!! The desserts are a must try too. The green thai curry was very good and so was the Chicken Stroganoff. Must go if u are in Manali. It was so good that next night we went there again for dinner - totally worth it!

I feel the cafe is highly over rated .Even when the tables are visibly empty, the staff looks, the staff is not courteous enough to guide you. They talk in monosyllables and make you feel very uncomfortable. Not welcoming unlike so many great cafes serving wonderful food in old manali. A customer irrespective of he/ she orders or not should feel welcome. The Least they can do is, put 'entry only through reservation' board outside. Wish you all the best.

Dear Guest,

Thanks for visiting our Cafe ... twice :)

This is really hilarious... and beyond normal comprehension.... maybe even a tad bit confusing.

If you found our Cafe highly over rated, then why did you visit us again a second time? lol

Even the first time around, you got a table of your choice, and then you wanted to move to a specific table which was reserved by other guests. And when we couldn't accommodate your request coz we have to honor our commitment to other guest, you term us rude!! Highly unfair.

Also I think you have very unrealistic expectations - its high season time for us, dinner is the peak business hour, this is when we make money. Whats so wrong is prioritizing high spenders? Its hospitality business, not charity!!

And lastly I'll repeat what I often tell folks - no matter how hard we try, we can not accommodate everyone's whims and fancies.

All the very best to you too.... and Happy Drifting :)

Drifters cafe is a great place to lounge with some great food. The cafe is housed with all sorts of games and travel books. The people are extremely warm and attentive. Their caramel custard and waffle combo are to die for. Must visit if you are in Old Manali.
