Manikaran is a place very near to Kasol. Kasol is a small hill station and popularly known as mini Israel as the number of Isreal Tourist sometimes appear to be more than native of Kasol. It is only place where you can observe that the name of shops, is written in Hibru, that is Israeli language. Natives of Kasol are also well verse with this language. This Manikaran sahib gurdwara is about 5 km from Kasol. One can easily have state transport bus to reach there in Rs 7. Private taxis are also available. We a group of four friends went to Manikaran on a rainy day. It was really cool with temperature of about 7 degree Celsius. Gurdwara is located in a very congested place. However when we entered we found a small pool , that is holy pond , and people taking bath in that . We were amazed to see as the temperature was quite low but we were told that it is a hot water pond. This adds to our surprise and we decided to take a dip. It was told that the water of this pond contains sulphur so it treats all skin diseases. We found the water really hot. It took time to acclimatize with the hot water of holy pond and after half an hour only we were able to fully put ourself in the water. But really it was a magic , hot springs in such a cool place. The bath really refreshed us . The tiredness of the travel also went away. It was really an amazing experience. Then we went to Gurudwara sahib which again was a divine shrine. We felt blessed . The place has really positive vibrations . Then we took lunch at the Langar , of Gurudwara. Really tasty Prasad again blessed us.
The Parvati river also flows in its full swing near to the shrine which is a perfect view for nature lovers. Really must visit for all those visiting Manali, Shimla or Kasol......

A quiet place to relax amidst a scenic plantation. We took a wrong route to the place. It is advisable to check maps before embarking on the journey.
