I had no clue how good this hotel was when I booked it for 1 night. I needed to stay a Manali for a night before proceeding with my road tip from Delhi to Leh. I booked this hotel online.

The helpful staff showed ow helpful they were even before I checked in. They helped me n obtaining a permit to go beyond Rohtang (all cars with non HP license plates need this), and that too at zero cost.

The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the Mall Road, so he location is quite convenient.

When I and my friend reached the hotel, we were made to wait for a while as we had reached before time. But during the time we had our breakfast. Since we told them that we were dead tired because of continuous driving through the night, they gave us an upgraded room.

The food was good, and the room was clean. The balcony offered a very nice view f the snow clad mountains. Th room service gets a bit slow when the hotel is completely sold out, but that can easily be ignored.

Take a room on the first or the second floor of you want to enjoy the view.

Room Tip: As I said, rooms on the first and second floor offer a good view of the mountains.

Very big room and clean bath room, good view from room and good hospitality.Located just stone throw distance from the Mall Road on the way to road which goes to Hadimba Temple crossing Johnson's Cafe turn the first left. Though the approaching road seems quite...

Visited Manali during 22-25 May 2012 along with wife. Good thing was the online booking/payment facility for this hotel. Surprisingly even refund of a failed transaction was done efficiently due to co-operation of the Hotel.
Now about the hotel ... feels less like a hotel and more like a home you would like to have with apple trees, incredible roses, snow peak mountain view .. Location is amazing very near to mall road and centre of the city yet calm and peaceful.. what more can you ask for?
Rooms( super deluxe ) are spacious, clean and with simple/basic wooden but comfortable furniture and a balcony for all rooms with roses and good view.
No bar or fancy things here sorry .. but Room service was prompt, the food was good both in terms of the quantity as well as the quality. Excellent value for money !!! Go for it

Room Tip: Go for first floor rooms since they have good view and a balcony.

Simply the best budget hotels you could find anywhere. Was there the second time . To deliver that well at that budget is just amazing.

Located just stone throw distance from the Mall Road on the way to road which goes to Hadimba Temple crossing Johnson's Cafe turn the first left. Though the approaching road seems quite narrow for your car's liking but the place you are about to experience will become your favourite the time you have a first look. Parking is quite big which can easily accomodate around 10-20 cars which is really needed on hill stations as it tend to become a mess at the time of peak season.

Then moving to a hotel lobby with very well maintained lawn with lone surviving apple tree but all in all a brilliant sorrunding filled with red roses and yellow lilies. Then climbing some stairs to hotel lobby with very helpful manager taking care of all your needs. Then next comes the staff which will always be ready to help with a BIG smile on their faces.

We are family of four so opted for Family suite ( room no : 109 ) which was done up really well though a bit of concern was only one washroom. But it could be ignored after seeing the cleanliness of two rooms which were attached and had a small terrace with scenic view overlooking the peaks. You could also hear bells chiming from Hadimba Temple giving it a soulful feel in your room. All in all very comfortable. Blankets, Bed Sheets and Pillow covers were shining white. Towels were really clean and changed after a day. Toilets were clean with water facility hot and cold all day round. Storage geyser was installed which could keep the water hot anytime.

The best service was the unintrupted Wi-Fi connectivity starting from morning 9AM to 9PM with the best speeds and no extra charges. Anyone would love this when you return to your room tired and need a daily dose of social networking site sharing with your friends about the best of time you are having in the brilliant sorrundings of HOTEL TOURIST. Just WOW !!!

Kudos to the hotel staff for making this a brilliant experience everytime. I LOVE IT !!!

THANKS ALOT GUYS .. TOURIST ROCKS !!!

Room Tip: Try getting a room in front which would have full scenic view.

This is the hotel in which we stayed on our way to Ladakh on June 2012. we had booked this hotel online and we were a bit skeptical but wen we reached there, we were instantly welcomed by some smiling faces. the hotel offers some great view of the hills including the snow capped mountains surrounding Manali. The rooms are excellent. There is a choice of executive rooms with balcony offering breathtaking view of the hills as well as rooms at the ground floor with easy access to the beautifully maintained garden. we were three of us so we booked a double bed room which was spacious and clean. the bathroom was big enough. there is a dedicated room service. we ordered food from the hotel itself and the food was pretty good. There is one room service staff Bappi da who was so helpful and courteous.the garden is another great place to spend quality time in harmony with nature. the garden has a swing for kids and beautiful flowers including various type of roses which is amazing if u r a nature lover. the place is in close proximity to the main bazaar as well as Old Manali which is a hangout for foreigners and hippies!! both these places takes just 10 min by walk. the room rate was pretty decent considering the fact that it was the peak season. A double bed room cost us Rs1500 which i think is pretty ok. the hotel lobby is adorned with various pictures and postcards of Himachal which added to the beauty of the hotel. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. In short, this hotel has some great view, is in a relatively posh area which is not conjested, very serene and peaceful yet very close to the main town, has a very beautiful garden where u can sip on a cuppa while reading a book and the room service is great!!!

Room Tip: try the executive room with a balcony on the first floor as they offer great views.

I booked Tourist Hotel in manali through Hotels.com on the advise of Tripadvisor from 9th June to 12th June. As advised, it is really worth staying at this Hotel. Just a walking distance from Mall Road, this Hotel offers a panoramic view of the snow peaks from your room. Rooms are very spacious (even economy room), tidy, well lit, comfortable and very economic - Rs. 1000/- during the peak season. Room service is good with staff attitude really very nice. Sh. Bappi was allotted in our room who was very well mannered and on his toes for our service. Toilets have big room space and are very clean. All sight seen services are available in hotel itself at a very reasonable rate.
