We stayed in this hotel when we were on Chandigarh city.
Hotel is very nice, as it is originally a fort.
They have converted ancient fort to modern hotel beutifully.
The room are really nice, as they give you a felling of staying in old fort with modern amenities.
The furniture in rooms is antique and tuely beutifull
You can roam around in hotel, and can see how fort was originally.
Food quality and service of staff is also very good.
It is quite far and outside the city. But truely good place too stay

this place is not meant for family. it seems to be a conference or a party destination. the staff here is not geared for the individual traveller. they are inadequate and service right from reception to housekeeping to restaraunt is extremely poor.
staff is very unrelaible...they will say one thing to do, but not deliver on thier words...in short they try to short change the guest.

Natarajan
Fort Ramgarh, Chandigarh / Panchkula

I had booked this hotel on the advise of friends but they reneged on thier committment to provide the type of rooms we wanted and then the room they gave us was dirty with dust all around. The bedsheets were with hair of the previous occupant and the sitting settee was dusty - enough to get an asthmatic to g(r)asp for his inhaler.

When we reached there was a party on the lawns - could someone tell the singer to at least keep to base when singing and not to go off track?

The food was lacking spirit and the only saving grace was the furniture. Gorgeous - if you are willing to treat this as a museum visit.

The problem with some of these classic palace museums is that they reqire maintenance and a lot of hard work to preserve them. Hopefully care will be taken to preserve these beauties

One of the finest place we have ever stayed in. The entrance of the hotel is a huge wooden gate. We were informed that the gate is opened during wedding ceremonies and e few other occassions. The inside of the hotel was like a fort. The hotel had its own museum. The services were excellent. The food was also very tasty, though only vegetarian. The only disadvantage is that the hotel is quite a distance from Chandigarh.
