Even though I'm no botanist or a biology freak, the visit to Cactus Garden was awesome. The entry fee is mere Rs.10/-. The garden is very well maintained and there are loads of cacti here. The views are amazing. There are some stunning varieties of cacti..I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them. Some were minute, some were huge, some had beautiful flowers, some had peculiar shapes. All-in-all, a must visit place and an enriching experience.

You will be stunned by looking at various kind of different cactus plants with different colours and sizes.
you can also buy the plants from the place as it is known to absorb negative energy.
Nicely managed and very beautiful.

Date of Visit: 31st Mar 2013

Fees: 10 INR

This place seemed to be quite well known amongst the locals so ask around for directions if you have problem going (I had as my driver was not familiar with the attractions in Panchkula).

+ points:
(1) It is quite large with a beautiful landscape so it's quite aesthetically pleasing that photo enthusiasts would enjoy.

(2) It has a very large collection of cacti (apparently the largest in Asia) so if there's any place you want to go for cacti, this is it! I can't say I'm a plant lover but I was still fascinated by the many different varieties of cactus they had there.

(3) There is some explanation on information boards for some of the cacti but quite rare actually.

- point:
(1) There is no place for shelter so would be troublesome if it rains and also it can be pretty hot because there's not much shade around the area also.
