“Sour Cream!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

Well, lets start at the very beginning....

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT walk into Cream Centre just beacuse your the eatery you originally intended to visit, is overbooked! Thats hardly a reason to set yourself up for a disastroous meal, after all.....

The food here is sooo bad that it actually does'nt even merit a review- so lets move onto the other highlights....

Not only is the fare completely mediocre stuff & overpriced, the team running the show is a bunch of headless chickens, running around in circles.

Or maybe they're just so sweet, they actually served us food that we did'nt even order, not once but thrice! The only spoilsport being that they decided to charge us for it as well!

Despite me telling the manager that we'd returned the same, he was'nt satisfied. Asked me if i was sure,4 times! Only when i told him that i did'nt feel like paying for the inspid food that we'd actually consumed so there was no way i was about to pay for stuff we had'nt consumed! Think i made my point, the man looked convinced, finally!

The highlight of the evening was yet to come- when i pointed out to him that the waiters were standing in a corner, slurping the leftovers of all the mocktails cleared from the tables, the man had an irrefutable logic- it was a weekend & the staff was stressed. Of course i understood, after all a food joint aims to work at 100% efficiency only on a weekday afternoon, at 10% occupancy!

Needless to say, i'm not going back, EVER! And strongly recommend that neither should you in a hurry! It could well be a case of "Eat in Haste & Repent at Leisure"!!!

“Good food marred by dumb service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

A completely vegetarian place serving Mexican and Italian cuisine? This got me so immediately excited that I couldn't resist the idea of going there despite the waiting time of about 45 minutes. Alas, the guy managing the waiting was oblivious to the hospitality business. There were atleast three tables empty in the restaurant when I returned after 45 minutes but he wouldn't let us enter as the servers were too busy with the existing rush. Why have more tables than the restaurant can serve?

So we waited and the wait kept increasing from 45 minutes to 60 minutes to 75 minutes. Many who waited alongside us left in disgust especially because he made them wait for more than an hour and still wouldn't let anyone in despite empty tables. So finally when we went in, we sat in an half empty restaurant nearing its closing time. All those people who left in disgust could've been their customers that the manager kept out. I am sure the owner can't imagine that his / her managers in turning away customers so that they don't have to work hard.

The food was mostly decent except ice cream we ordered which was half milk shake by the time we got it. Also since we got in late due to waiting, our first orders were our last orders as the kitchen had to be closed soon. So much for good veg Mexican / Italian cuisine! If you're planning to visit, avoid the Sunday / Holiday rush and you should be just fine.

“Respite from Bikanervala & Haldiram”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

For the vegetarian food lovers, looking for great variety in their menu, who were currently stuck with mainly two choices of Bikanervala and Haldiram types with their predictable menu, self service model, here is a deliverance, the Cream Centre at the Sector-29 in Gurgaon.

The Good:
Everything - Size of the restaurant, the number of tables, the ambience, the large screen showing IPL, great service. The menu is mouth watering. We tried the Crem Centre's very own "World's best Nachos"...Couldn't get enough of it. Finally Ragda Pattice in Gurgaon. The Pav Bhaji Sizzler, The baked Pastas and more...Every item was made well and delicious. You want to eat more.

The Bad:
Prices - Expensive food. with 30% plus taxes and levies it becomes more expensive. A good meal for a family of 4 would be anywhere between Rs. 1500~Rs. 2000.

The Ugly:
Parking - Now Sector-29 with its million restaurants, function venues and more, is a nightmare to enter and park. Recommend you park in the parallel road and walk across or choose the parking lot opposite Sarovar Hotel. Please factor 15 ~ 20 minutes to get in to the street and get out of this area.

“great vegetarian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

Enjoyed my meal thoroughly, very well prepared. My only criticism would be that next store one can have similar great meal for half the price. The decor whilst new and very clean was just a little to bland for me and did not have the feeling of a restaurant. Will definitely go back but most likely on the odd occasion.
