“Not so good”
Review of Damdama Lake

Damdama Lake
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We had gone to Damdama lake in December. It was not so good. There was almost no lake. And there were a lot of people and lot of waste there. I don't know if it is good in any other season but then it was very boring, and not at all happening.Waste of petrol i would say.

Thank kavya g

Bad approach road, pot-holed and riddled with barking dogs, snapping at your feet ( I was on my bike).
The place is quite a let down. Wasn't really a swollen, well managed lake as I thought. Locals were defecating and washing clothes etc at some parts of the lake areas. The marshy parts were dirt-ridden. There are some commercial establishments around it, but I was least bothered to be a part of them.
Despite the paucity of places to visit from Gurgaon, would not recommend a visit to this place.

Ideal if one travels with friends. A few camps are there which arrange for trekking, rock climbing, boating and other adventure sports. Night halts at tents amidst nature is an enthralling experience. Tents are good with attached bathrooms. the food served is great.
