“Patchy roads, patchier experience”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

I wonder how beautiful this property could have been if little care was taken to maintain it's natural beauty.

The lake is completely stagnant with hardly a few ripples that can be seen when the outdated boats start moving. There's an old, poorly maintained camel for ride. To top it all, there's nothing in the vicinity where you can eat except for a tourism restaurant where you will typically be greeted by babu attitude. The road is to this place is rough and bumpy. The only saving grace is the greenery right opposite the resort where you could take a walk to feel you haven't wasted your time by coming here.

“NOT WORTH GOING”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Damdama Lake can be reached from Sohna Road, 11 kms short of Sohna from Gurgaon in Bhondsi village a left turn leads you to 10 kms of narrow road passing through villages. If you do not love you car and your back take this journey as most of it is rough patchy road. The lake has few birds and boating facility. The haryana Govt Saras Resort serves average food at not so moderate price, the only good thing about the resort is the staff who are very courteous and helpful.Usually when I add pictures to my review it is to tempt you to go see for your self but this time I suggest see the pictures attached and admire the place.

“lost treasure”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Though the facility especially the restaurant and adjoining properties are amazing the fun is shortlived as there are almost no visitors and secondly local vagabonds are always at the corner to spoil any peaceful outing that you might have planned.

“Nice place for day out - Nothing much to do - SARAS RESORT”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

The lake had nearly dried up and very less water when compared to images shown in google or other websites.

We reached there around 2pm thinking we would have a 1 night stay but looking at the condition of the lake, we left same day evening.

Went to a Govt. resort (I think) - Saras Resort - Nice place to be, the Garden area on the backside was a downsider since it didnt have any sort of greenery. No grass and Fountain not working. The property offers Boating (Paddle boats only) but we didnt hire any as the waters seem less.

The view was nice with Mountains in the background. Evening snacks and Tea was nice but couldn't glue us to the place to stay for the night. We decided to leave the same evening.
