Yo! China is where my friend decided to take me to dinner when I was at Gurgaon.
Though she mentioned that she was a regular, their hospitality was surprisingly welcoming. They even remembered her name and regular orders. As we sat, they served us sprite, on asking "why", the answer was "it's a regular order".
We placed our order which were Drums of Heaven, Siu Mei, Bacon wrapped King Prawns, Chicken Noodles and Chicken Manchurian. The waiter brought a plate of Honey Chili Potato on the house.
First was the Honey Chili Potato. Nothing special in particular, perfect to its description, period. The remaining starters all came in together.
Siu Mei was a plate of 'open' Momo, with steamed Meat mixed with Ginger. Though the serving size was small (5 in number), the filling was good and it tasted good.
Drums of Heaven wasn't anything spectacular, just average.
Bacon wrapped Prawns was an experiment. A disaster. The wrapped Prawn was deep fried, the Bacon seemed old and kind of stale and the Prawns soaked in all the deep frying oil. There was no flavor, just oil.
The Garlic Chicken Noodles had minimal 'Garlic' flavor and very mediocre level preparation. The portion size was pretty good though. The Chicken Manchurian was good, the meat was soft, plenty of gravy and tasty.
Verdict: if I go again, I'd order the Siu Mei and maybe the Honey Chili potatoes.
