This is an awesome new gig you goto visit if you enjoy hi quality good Indian food. It's Indian fusion food , excellent too both quality. The Chef is great would give Michelin star chefs a run.

I had many dishes over 2-3 visits and EVERYTHING is good.

So 5/5 for Comorin.

We dined atComorin a week ago, fully expecting delightful interpretations from Manish’s extensive repertoire. To our collective minds it did not live up to our expectations; maybe we expected too much.
First up the serve staff were wonderful, knowledgeable and keen to please. Critical feedback was graciously acknowledged and replacement provided promptly.
The decor is good and casual though music was loud and challenged conversation. They have a private room for parties.
We dined on a dry day, however some of the mocktails were quite innovative; try the Virgin Mary and the ginger/ lime drink.
Though the name suggests Southern Indian focus, menu was cosmopolitan; glaringly vegetarian options in small and large plates were few.
Small plates, maybe 4, green chilly prawn,Comorin pao vada, Dadi batata Puri, Haleem, between 5 of us followed by 2 large plates , one each of Champaran meat with naan, and Betki Paturi rounded off the meal. Lamb was delicious, but fish and rice combo was ordinary. The meal cost us Rs 1500 per head including gratuity.

A cool vibe, attentive service, innovative cocktails and outstanding food. What else can one wish for! I have deliberately refrained from reviewing this immediately after it opened or even after my first couple of visits. But now that I have been there over 4 times over as many months and at different times of the day I can unreservedly say that this is the best experience in Gurgaon, perhaps across the NCR. Dishes not to be missed - the sweet corn khichdi (this recommendation from a hardcore non-vegetarian!), the haleem (best ever), Andhra gongura chicken, Kanyakumari crab claws, dahi batata puri (loved the wasabi in it!) and baby back ribs with old monk glaze. Actually, you can order pretty much anything eyes closed! And the hospitality of Vikram Taneja who keeps a personal eye on things all day is amazing. Chef Dhiraj too is brilliant at giving suggestions. Can't wait for my next visit!

The name comorin gives an impression that there is some coastal connection with this restaurant and it comes out once you experience the food.
Comorin is the next masterpiece by Chef Munish Mehrotra after Indian Accent, with dishes mostly inspired by Coastal India from East, South and West.
The restaurant combines this coastal connection with a refreshing cocktail bar which is one of it's kind in NCR. It's located at a prime location inside DLF Two Horizon Tower, overlooking the sprawling city of Gurgaon.

We had a wonderful night there yesterday with regional cuisines and cocktail. The only reason that I have not given 5 stars is because of slight misrepresentation in the menu (Kasundi is the authentic dip from West Bengal and what is served in the restaurant is kind of Yogurt mixed with kasundi to make it mild, in that case the menu should mention that it's not Kasundi).

Want to go again to taste the famous Khichdi! See you soon Comorin.
