The Express Tower hotel on the busy R.C.Dutt road in Vadodara is one of the city's oldest and best business hotels. Recently renovated, the hotel has a fresh and healthy feel about it. Clean rooms and ambience make for a comfortable stay.
The staff is ever smiling and willing to oblige. The Hotel boasts a nice bakery unit with outstanding nankhatai's, kharis and other biscuits. The Gujarati thali restaurant on the first floor is a treat for the taste buds and the a shade better than a decent multicuisine restaurant on the ground floor. Fairly good business centre as well.
I stayed during Monsoon. Carpet of corridor as well as room was smelling badly. They were trying hard to keep carpet dry by room heaters but that was of no use.
Room was also pretty small.
Two thing that I liked were location and Gujarati thali.
Hotel Express on RC Dutt Road, Vadodara is a multistory tower in the busy district.
The express group has another 'twin' hotel with similar name at Alakpuri. In fact, I was misled to the other hotel by the hired car driver and was re-guided by the staff to the towers on RC Dutt Road.
