This is in the heart of town and is an important landmark of this town.
The visit explains the history of the town.
The museum at the fort closes at 0500pm. so be in time.
This place is abuzz with local people in the evening hours to late in the night. Lot of local preparations are available at very conservative rates
It is fun to visit this place and an important visit to understand the lifestyle of locals.

Lakhota Fort is located in heart of city. This is a museum - rich heritage of Jamnagar and district. Lakota fort is located in the midst of beautiful lake. Lake also is famous for migratory birds in winter.

lake front also famous for temples, gardens. If at Jamnagar, MUST visit place.

Its a nice walk along the bridge, can see lots of ducks in the water, the fort is small and the parts that are open to public are well maintained, so long as you can manage the offensive stench in the older, dilapitated parts - thanks to bats, pigeons and of course us humans
Photography not allowed inside the museum - it has some very old coins and interesting collection of pocket guns!
