I don't believe I'm reviewing a hotel whose reviews I had previously read and planned to avoid.Arrived in Ahmedabad late at night and since I could find the original hotel I was booked in,I had no choice but to opt for this one on the AShram Road. It's location is pretty good, but for the price of Rs 1380/- for the 2nd category Room(don't recall whether it was Deluxe or not),the room was terribly maintained. The bathtub resembled an overturned ship full of barnacles, the toilet seat was broken but what actually ticked me off was the manager telling me that credit cards would be charged an additional 2%.That's as low as you can get to fleece a customer. The bank charges you,so you take it up with the bank not use the customer to pay your bills for a facility that allows you to disclose your legal income. The food, priced on the higher side was passable.Just had breakfast the next morning and checked out.Try it only if you're down on your luck.I actually got a better hotel at Rs 1200/-.The property seems to be falling down.Cracked tiles, paint peeling off, pipes unrepaired for decades!!For the same price,I've stayed at hotels which have offered me not only a bottle of complimentary mineral water on arrival but also a buffet breakfast.

Room Tip: Try the rooms at the.....................next hotel!

stayed in this hotel since it was closer to Sabarmati Ashram (15 mins drive) as we had to reach the ashram early morning next day.Staff is cooperative and room service is good. they also arranged for an auto on our prior request on a chilly morning at 5 am on 20/12/2013
it is mandatory to carry a address proof and not just photo id proof otherwise it may delay your room booking
food is ok you need to inform them not to add sugar in naan if you plan to order the same !!

Room Tip: ask for rooms in the first floor

First the good thing about this hotel. The staff is cooperative and well meaning and tries to help the guest. Apart from this there is nothing good about this hotel. As soon as you enter the stale smells of decay and the kitchen sink assail you. The property is at least 20 years old with not a single renovation done in these 20 years. The rooms are dirty and decaying. I stayed in room no 208 which was leaking rainwater in the room as well as bathroom. The bedding is old, the linen is dirty and frayed, the blanket at least 10 years old with small holes in it. The food is hopeless and exorbitantly priced. A cup of tea costing Rs.45. The food serving are tiny. Jeera rice plate costing Rs.100 contains at most 125 gms. of cooked rice. In total this hotel is a pure ripoff. Please avoid this hotel if you can.

Room Tip: No rooms are good. The rooms on the road side are full of traffic sounds of Ashram road , day and ni...

Hotel by itself is strictly ok. This used to be a residential area / colony - thy have combined row hourse to make this hotel.

Food a tad expensive - Tea is 35 Rs! for cost conscious - try the fixed thali with decent fare and comes at 105 Rs + Taxes. They charge "Service Charge" on F&B - so don't feel guilty about not tipping. otherwise - food is just about ok. Their restaurant is not much busy even on weekends evenings.

Cleanliness is a bit of an issue but for business traveler for quick shower, change and crashing at night - it is acceptable.

Near to income-tax office, RBI office, Near to CG road, Ashram road. Railway station is 60 Rs auto ride away and the way there is large and main road. This hotel is at an accessible area

Trust me in rush hour reaching Ahmedabad Kalupur railway station, from a crowded and busy area is a nightmare.

Room Tip: AC Room no 208 is good, away from main road.

A budget hotel in the midst of the city. ou can visit for max 1 or 2 day trip. Room service is not so good & neither is ambiance. Only positive points are its tariff & location. Food is OK. Too much noice at it is roadside. Rooms are OK.

Room Tip: GO for deluxe AC

I booked the place at the last moment on finalising my trip to Ahmedabad. The room was not very well maintained, AC was giving lot of noise. Restaurant also does not offer a reasonable service. Staff is not very efficient. Overall the stay was not satisfactory for the money spent.
