Cama is one of the oldest hotels in Ahmedabad..Twenty years back probably the only three star hotel around...With changing times, while the glory has faded, it continues to serve its patrons with the same courtesy, humility and amicability..Neatly maintained, clean rooms and extremely polite friendly staff sums it all...If you love lavish breakfast buffet spread you may get a little disappointed however watever the spread consists of is definitely not compromised...The best so far in the walled vicinity of Ahmedabad,,,No regrets for sure !!

Room Tip: Book via websites and not directly as tends to be more expensive

We stayed as part of a tour. The location was good, and there is a great garden/pool - a green plus in an Indian city. The restaurant food for breakfast and snacks was really good and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and light. It just needs an upgrade. Try the Lemon Tree Hotel just up the street; for a similar cost your money goes a lot further.

After my stay last time, I had an opportunity to stay in this hotel for one night on a business trip. This time I was fortunate as the hotel manager upgraded me to a suit, which has been quite big with a separate sit out area for business meetings. Biggest positive for some one getting room on riverside is the splendid view of newly banked Sabarmati river one gets from the room. Also the food at the restaurant is very nice and the reason for which this hotel is popular. However the breakfast has been disappointing with not much to offer. Staff at reception as well as other staff is quite old and needs training in properly talking with customers, the only exception has been the Manager who has been quite helpful. I could not use WiFi as first day it was down while next day morning the WiFi cards were unavailable at reception. In spite of this for the price this hotel certainly offers value.

Room Tip: Ask for room on the river side . Rooms on the fourth floor have veranda to sit facing the river.

On a business trip to Ahmedabad for 3 days. Stayed at Cama and it was really enjoyable. Highly courteous staff and clean rooms.
The lift is too old and needs replacement.
Food is excellent. Breakfast is too good.

Room Tip: Ask for the renovated rooms

The hotel is an old property, the experience being average- average food, average service, average room. They are just get by with their once-upon-a-time fancy do somehow. You would want to keep the windows open, get the curtains and linen dry cleaned, and have a big pack of hand sanitizer if you plan to stay here.

Room Tip: They are all same
