We were taken to this place by a friend who strongly recommended it and we were not disappointed. Taking the trouble to drive 15 kms on a growling stomach paid off! The ambience is welcoming and they don't make you wait too long to serve your growing appetite.
We tried the Chicken Pahadi (whole grilled chicken starter, in select herbs and spices) and we achieved a rare feat of finishing a whole chicken between two people; it was that good! The chicken was succulent and was finished in a blink.
For the main course we tried the Paneer Chingari and Chicken Besto and we were not let down. Most joints have "common" gravy so the taste is not much different. But this place made sure every dish had a unique taste. The Chicken Besto had bite sized chicken pieces which added to the whole experience. The Paneer dish was good too with a strong but likable garlic flavour.
Rotis were served hot and crispy. The Roomali roti was okay, could have done with lesser butter.
We ordered rice with just mutton gravy and this was a revelation in itself.
The staff was courteous and the service was prompt.
Highly recommended for foodies looking for a decent non-veg fare in Ahmedabad. Slightly far, but when the stomach rules, distance doesnt matter :)
