It has a gallery with Gandhiji's photo's, paintings and his personal belongings. It was an experience to see his house and his room. One end of the ashram has an open view of Sabarmati.
Place has a relaxing feel about it.

Extremely serene and peaceful as soon as one enters. Takes you away to a time in the past. Definitely interesting to see how Gandhi lived and to learn his teachings. One can have a look at various of the cottage industries started by Gandhi in the greater campus as well.

If you like to know about the life of Gandhi, you should visit this place to remind you of the struggle of India to independenace.

The place is not very well maintained and you do not need to pay a fee to entry. The books on sale is relatively cheap.

Good to learn more about the history of Ghandi. Enjoyed watching the ladies spin cotton and the views down the river are lovely. Surprisingly tranquil considering the location. Well worth a visit if in Ahmedabad.
A lot of building work going on during my visit, will be good once finished.

The place reminds you of the struggle India had done before independence. The picture gallery is beautiful, with some exclusive collection of write ups and newspaper articles. I only feel bad about the way the property has been maintained because i could see that many items at display have deteriorated.
