o wow!! ... the sojourn in Goa could not have been this binding had we lodged in some other hotel other than santana beach resort. we were in 104. looking over the sea, walled by greenery and sweetened by services.. whether you want to spend your holidays loosing yourself in the world of novels, the hotel has a homely library, if you want to brave the sun rays, just collapse on the beds spread out in the garden, if you want to cajole your tongue with some seafood, here is a hotel which offers you gala platters. what more do you want when you also get a flee market and a tailor shop almost inside the story. santana made our two and half day sojourn truly craving for more. How can I forget the humane services rendered by Subol who now only customised food for us but also became the best tour guide and helped us catch the best sites...Thanks Subol.. the calamari shack just at the outer gate of the hotel will leave anybody under the sun gulping down the awesomeness of the whole feel.. wow..
zoom around goa, the place which is only fun, food and frolic....

Room Tip: all the rooms are equally good, i guess.

The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms were a bit more in shape than the others but it didn't really matter because the rooms that we stayed in were extremely big and the air conditioning worked well. The beach was very near so it didn't take too long to get there (maybe two minutes) and also a great walking distance to different restaurants and shops. I had a great stay at this hotel and I would definitely recommend this hotel for others.

Have been travelling to Goa for many years for New Years but could never manage to get accommodation here, but somehow managed to get it in Dec 2013... and really glad that I could manage to get it.

Great hospitality and assistance provided during our stay.

One of the best trips to Goa and one of the most comfortable one. The staff at Santana is very courteous, pleasantly helpful and the personal touch provided by the owners, makes the stay completely fun & memorable. And more over the importance given to hygiene and cleanliness at the resort made the things more relaxing for us as we were traveling with an infant.

Have stayed at many hotels & resorts in Goa, But this property becomes the first preference for our future trips to Goa... Really looking forward to it and to re-visit the good times in Goa.

And their shack known as "Calamari Bathe & Binge" is a must visit for all. Great Location, Great Food, Awesome Music and Fabulous Service.

Stayed here first 2 weeks in November flew with monarch.we were the first flight of the season to arrive.
After a hectic flight and arrival we arrived early morning at the santana.as stated our rooms were not ready for at least 3hrs.so we're told at reception to go to the restaurant to have complementary drinks till our room was ready.by dinner time were given
Our room near the splash pool which was a standard room, which was ok.but on sitting on the balcony you faced a wall with next doors hotel air on machine on twenty four seven.enquired at reception and was told would be moved the next day when rooms were available.the next day was shown a room near the reception which was a lot quieter.the staff from the waiters to the gardeners were the most friendly people I have come across on holidays.they are a credit to this hotel and make it what it is.the gardens are peaceful and lovely aswell.also with the hotel on the beach is a added bonus with the calamari beach shack serving great food and having beautiful views.my only gripe would be been on a package holiday some people who travelled with us got executive rooms at no extra cost.which seems a bit unfair as we all paid the same price.apart from that will return
Ps special mention to sabul and j thankyou!(waiters)

Had an excellent stay at this resort on Christmas day in 2013. Located in the much happening place in Goa, Candolim the resort is very much next to the beach. Though there are space constraints the resort has been planned well within the limited space available. The front desk staff were very helpful and cooperative. The rooms are spacious with a bedroom and a small dry kitchen unit which has a coffee maker and the refrigerator. Each room comes with a small balcony. The rooms were clean and maintained well. Felt that what I paid was more in comparison to star hotels in this area but again since it was Christmas the prices are usually on the higher side in Goa. Though the hotel offers a buffet breakfast the spread is limited and more of the items on the menu cater to the foreign tourist except for poori and bhaji for which the request has to be made. They do have small swimming pool.

Room Tip: Take the rooms/cottages at the backside as it is nearer to the beach.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in November, cant fault it at all.

The staff are very helpful from the waiters, reception and housekeeping guys. Everyone is so friendly.

The Food as expected was also fabulous. Great location for the beach, we spent our days on the beds at the Calamari which is also great. Just pay for the bed in the morning and they let you run a tab with the number you are given, which you pay at the end of the day. Although beware the portion sizes..we found after a day or 2 that at lunch time it was more sensible to share dishes as for us it was just too much.

Food and drink very reasonable everywhere you go, including here at the hotel..approx 60p for a bottle of beer, we never had a bad meal :-)

We had a room facing the roadway which was a bit noisy during the day but great for people watching. this end of Candolim is a bit quieter. Room was very big although basic, the only downside was storage as there was only 1 small wardrobe and only a small shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. but really not a big deal.

I would definitely stay here again and totally recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Our room facing the roadway were huge with a balcony to the rear also. Very spacious room 702, sepa...

The place is very homely. Very clean and cozy. Very close to the beach and very close to the street. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. The booking was very smooth, thanks to Dominic. We were 10 of us, and all of us just loved the room, the space was perfectly thought out with all facilities and amenities required, rather more than required. Even with a family, the kids would love the lawn and the place. We will definitely visit this place more than once. And i would like to recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: Get a apartment close to the pool which has the bar in it. You can hang out in the pool and still ha...
