Such a perfect place... Next to a beautiful beach a 2 minute walk away, delicious breakfast buffet until 12pm(with real waffles, awesome omelettes and great coffee!), the restaurants on site are incredible, 24/7 room service, AC, the pool is huge and delightful with a swim up bar, there's even a small gym! What more could you possibly dream up or ask for? Oh and the bed was super comfortable too! Another tip if you're tired of lager beer - Grocery store right down the street has Duvel beer, the only ale I've seen since traveling in India!

Room Tip: If we were to go again I would rather stay on the ground floor. We were in room 201 and the balcony...

We went to lemontree from 20 to 22 Sept. From the time our taxi entered the premises till we left, every experience is worth remembering. Special thanks to Front desk staff Benisha and Durga for upgrading our room. It was an excellent room and our daughter was specially glad with all the running space available in the room.

Next I would be very glad to talk about the Citrus cafe. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner everything on the platter was delicious. And served to us by the best courteous and loving staff. Special thanks and kudos to Jonathan, Sandeep, Ravi (also for taking our pictures) , Pawan and all whose names I forget to mention. And ofcourse special mention and heartfelt thanks to the Head chef Vinayak for all the special attention he gave and took care of us. Because of all of them our dining experience became much more lively and cherishing.

And last but not least, how can I forget to thank housekeeping staff Krutan for his cheerful plesantries he exchanged everytime we met. And thank you for making our room always fresh and clean. Thank you all for the best lemony experience. . Best goa experience!!!! Last but not the least... the whole staff of Lemon tree is amazing and best wishes to them... Guys you rock and
We would definitely come back... :-))))

We stayed at the hotel between 20-23rd sept 2013. We were auto upgraded to the heritage wing. The resort has a lovely Portugese feel to it and has a refreshing citrus aroma. Our room was beautiful on the same theme, big enough with a private sit out and was closest to the beach route. The breakfast was sumptuous and South Indian is worth a try. I have a sweet tooth and I loved their cake. The head chef vinayak talks to Every single guest and ensures your food experience will bring you back here for sure.

The beach was gorgeous at this time, just a 5 mins walk, not many tourists. We spent hours lying on the beach relaxing. The weather was good, some rain showers, not sunny and just perfect. We got free wifi on our package and that was working well. The staff is super! After ages we saw such hospitality where people go out of their way to give you that perfect vacation.

The cleanliness was given importance, krutan was so creative with the towel arrangement. You would find swans or a lovely flower on your bed. they have an evening cleaning service as well, quite thoughtful considering you would need it once you are back from the beach. Also, they have a DVD player in all rooms and you have a good choice of your favourite Hollywood and Bollywood movies to choose from at the reception. The pool is large, clean and has a bar. We tried the republic of noodles pan Asian cuisine and were delighted with the food , must try.

All in all, good job you guys. We will return back for your food, service, location and the lemony experience once again. Anu and sachin.

Room Tip: Heritage wing is beautiful.

The resort is at a very good location, and has all modern amenities.. our stay at lemon tree was wonderful.. but mainly i want to mention tht the staff is too good. I had forgotten something very very important to me in a small corner of d room (religious black thread). For anybody else it was of no value but for me it was valuable beyond words. I realised it almost after 8hrs n calld the hotel arnd 10 at night. They told me tht day staff had left n they shall find out n let me knw by morning.. but to my surprise i got a call in just 30 mins sayin tht they had found it... :) :) It was packed n couriered to me safely... Thank you Lemon tree... very very much :) :)

This was kind of our Annual Family Holiday and all of a sudden we came to know that the pool would be under maintenance for a few days of our stay. Well we were kind of dismayed with the prospects of our holiday being ruined but after a few mails exchanges we were told by the GM Anderson that he would do his best to see our holiday was not ruined.

We checked in with heavy hearts on the 17th Afternoon but were pleasantly surprised to see that the pool was up and repaired. We could not express our delight .. well that was the high point of the trip. I'm sure Anderson and Nilesh and the rest of the team would have done their best to keep their promise made to us. We really appreciate you guys keeping up your commitment. It shows that they really do believe in great customer service.

Everyone at the Front Desk - Benishia , Sumeet and the others were Amazing and always ready to help .. God know how many times we bothered them borrowing movies to be played on the in room DVD another Novel concept.. we really enjoyed sitting around watching movies .. its crazy but may have watched some 7-9 movies on the rainy monsoon evenings that we were there.

The Pool is the star attraction and surely we were not disappointed .. we had a wonderful time in and around the pool.

We had a Pavilion Room on the 1st Floor which had great pool views from the Verandah/Corridor right outside the door. The room was well decorated and the sleep quality just amazing.

The Beach well is a 5-7 min walk from the reception area through the back gate. A great secluded beach. The down side is the stray dogs and bulls who you feel will charge at you given a chance.. plus the puddles of water on the public road to the beach. Both though out of the hands of the hotel and they really can't do anything about that. Plus maybe if they had a few beach chairs or something on the Beach like maybe for a stipulated time like maybe 9:30 - 12:30 and maybe 3:30 to 6 with one Guard or something . It would enhance the beach experience as well.

The Food - Well breakfast 7 to 12 - So all you party goers and late risers this is a boon .. no need to rush as if you are heading to office - its a holiday - relax and head to the Citrus Cafe for a pretty amazing breakfast from Dosas to Idlis to Pancakes to Cereal to Even some Continental Dishes and an Egg Station. The Dinner Buffet included in our Package was great too. But really I guess the Al-a-Carte dishes are Just Amazing. We got to Talk to the Head Chef Vinayak during one of our Breakfasts- great guy - Spent some time talking to him about his Food and his Team's creations.

The Staff at the Restaurant are just great - Well some guys who really took care of us were Adam, Jonathan, Pronoy, Ravi, Dharmesh and Sandeep. They were quick to offer a refill be attentive to our needs as well as special requests for our kid whether it be carrots or chocolate Ice cream for our kid.

Even among this it was wonderful to see how they incorporated Persons with Hearing/Speech Disabilities within the hotel/cafe. I was personally amazed at how well Sandeep took care of us inspite of his challenges - Great Job.. Full marks to you guys. That really is a job well done. I'm sure the credit is as much as for all the people who work with him just as it is Sandeep's.

It surely has been a wonderful stay .

But with all the good a couple of short point - If Housekeeping could replenish the Soaps provided - we were out of Both Soaps put in the Washroom on Day 2 but across the 4 day stay it was never replenished.. Not sure why this was the case when all other things were replenished without prejudice.

Also the Wi-fi was great in the Public Areas but very iffy in the rooms finding it very hard to connect any device on - Maybe a couple of Extra routers in the right places would take care of the job ... But then again We are supposed to be on a holiday.. so for some this might be a reason to be happy and be undisturbed.

But overall would rate this as an excellent property to stay at - And the reason would be its staff - This hotel truly proves the Saying - "It is the People who make the Place" - Well Anderson & Nilesh - You and your team has proven it!! All the best as you continue to delight many more people who pass through the doors of your property. Great Job!!

Room Tip: 1st Floor Pool View Pavilion rooms are Great. Also I guess the Heritage Wing has some rave reviews.

More of a boutique hotel than a five star one, this is a really good option if you're visiting North Goa. The location's good - close enough to all the happening places and yet, you don't feel like you're caught up in the mad Goa season rush. The hotel also has a inner route to the beach - five minutes and you're in an almost empty beach, which is a real luxury for North Goa. One complaint is that the hotel should really look after that inner beach road - it's littered with trash and garbage.

The hotel itself is nice - we loved our room and the swimming pool. The breakfast buffet had all the usual options you'd like to spend a lazy morning over and everything tasted fine. The hotel doesn't have too many Goan food options but there's plenty of local restaurants nearby to fill that gap. In fact, if you've overdone the local cuisine and want to try something different, the inhouse Republic of Noodles has really good (and slightly overpriced) food.

The children's playroom isn't as great as some of the other hotels but it's an okay place for the kids to hang out for an hour or so.

Room service is quick and efficient and overall this place just feels like a well-run property - I'd go back.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort, Goa. May I apologize for not meeting some of your expectations during your stay.

We have noted your comments and are reviewing the relevant processes. Specifically:

•Road leading to Candolim beach: the road that leads to the beach from the back gate of the resort, is a public road and not a part of our property. We have spoken to the relevant local authorities on several occasions to help keep it clean. Also we clean up the road ourselves (Housekeeping staff) on a regular basis. As we cannot man the road 24x7, we find that it does get littered very easily. We are sorry for not being able to meet your expectations.
•Local food: our coffee shop menu is planned to cater to a mix of Indian and foreign guests and we carry all popular items including the local Goan cuisine – both in the a la carte menu as well as on the buffet. We are constantly working on improving the variety of our food and experimenting with new menus, based on the feedback given by our guests. When you visit us next, the Chef would be happy to offer you some interesting options in Goan cuisine.
•Republic of Noodles pricing: this is a midscale resort and is in line with international 3 to 4 star hotels. We have been careful to benchmark competitors in our segment in order to set a very competitive price for food and rooms. This award winning restaurant is very popular both with visiting guests and local guests and we are delighted you enjoyed the food too.

We look forward to welcoming you again. Please email me at gm.abr@lemontreehotels.com and I will be happy to handle the arrangements personally.

Best regards,

Andersen Noronha
