Stayed here couple of times and it has been a fantastic experience always. Neat and clean rooms with an attached balcony. Bathrooms done up very well. Can walk to the beach right from the resort itself. Fantastic large swimming pool which has been maintained well. Ample of parking space if you plan to drive. Ideal location for couples, nice and peaceful not far away from Baga. Food could be better but the breakfast is def good. "Bob's Inn" is right opposite to the lane where this resort is located - def a place to visit.

Sonesta Inns is a beautiful place to stay at Goa. I have been to Goa a couple of times but I really loved this property the most out of all my previous stays. Rooms have a lot of privacy with a nice balcony. Very clean and neat rooms, bathrooms. It is n=in Candolim and just 4 kms away from Baga/calangute and close by to all the happening places. You can rent a bike outside the hotel itself. They have excellent spa facility and a nice clean swimming pool. The food was very good. They have a private entrance to Candolim beach which makes your beach experience awesome. It is so private and secluded. Not many people and because of this you can enjoy and play in clear sea water. They even have Water sports during season at resonable prices at the beach. The service is excellent and the staff is prompt. Overall we had a great experience and would love to go there again!!

What does one do in Goa - shop, eat, sleep, go to the beach, hang by the pool, enjoy good company..... yes, you can get all this at any fancy resort, but Sonesta gives all that to you at a very very affordable price. And its clean and well kept.

We've stayed here twice now, Dec 2009 and Oct 2012, and both the stays have been total VFM. Its a good neat place in Candolim, North Goa, conveniently located to stores, restaurants, sites, yet nicely tucked away from the bustle, and 5min walk from the beach. The beach also has couple decent shacks during season time along with jetski rentals and paragliding. Without having to fight the crowds at Baga and Calangute or drop big bucks at 5* resorts, you can have a great time in Goa.

Good Goan fare close by - rent a bike from outside the hotel and visit - Baga River, Calangute, Anjuna, Fort Aguada, Coco, Florentines, Sauza Lobo, Infanteria, Titos, Curves, Brittos, O'Coquero, Cavalla, etc etc.

The breakfast is simple, but hearty. The rooms have been recently re-done and the 2 room suite is rather comfortable for a small family. Ample pool space, small chill out bar for an evening drink.

The bathroom could be better laid out though, some hooks to hand clothes would be good, along with a drying for wet beachwear. The path to the beach could be cleaned up a little. And pls change the quality of the tea-bags.

Room Tip: Get gnd flr suited, when staying with kids.

Very good place to stay. Calm and relaxing,
Next to Calangute, Candolim town is ideal location to stay to beat Calangute traffic.
The resort is situated behind Candolim beach and its virtually empty. Its kind of private beach.
Tips : Hire a bike, and roam around, lot of veg hotels nearby.

Was a family vacation, we stayed in a suite room for 3 nights. The hotel is well located in Candolim, close to the beach, with eacy access to other popular North Goa beaches. Was initially alloted a room that was damp, but it was changed on escalating to the hotel manager. The room where we finally stayed was clean, quite spacious, bathroom had a tub with rainshower, a/c was effective and silent. Room has a king size bed and almost everything like LCD, reading table, sofaset, coffee maker, mini fridge, toiletries, hot water, clean sheets, clean towels etc.The pool was decent size and maintained well, however the closing time is 6 pm which is early. Wifi works, for a vacation, could live with the speed of 1mbps. Food was decent, room service and house keeping were prompt. Breakfast timing was a bit odd, the counter closes at 9:30am which seems to be early, and this makes the restaurant very crowded around 9am - there are no open tables, eggs, south dishes etc take time to arrive. There is a in-house spa too, but couldn't use it. Overall a good experience, would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Recommend suite rooms as they are quite spacious. Also consider a room facing the pool, these also g...

Our breakfast Menu keeps on changing everyday there is a wide choice of North, south,Continental, serials and choice of eggs which may be delayed for a while if there are too many orders for the choice of eggs
We will definitely improve on this aspect and you will see the changes the next time you or your friends pay us a visit
Thankyou for your valuable feed back,.we take this as healthy criticisms

We (4 couples & 2 kids) had gone to goa this weekend for 4 nights. We stayed at Sonesta Inns. Its a little far from candolim market, also there is no see view from any of the rooms. Max you would get is the pool view.

Good points:
1) The rooms are excellent, very clean & luxurious
2) The bathrooms are like woo hoo... really nice
3) Room has almost everything like LCD, coffee maker, mini fridge, toiletries, hot water, clean sheets, clean towels etc.
4) There is a private route to the beach which is actually the clean part of candolim.
5) Housekeeping does an excellent job
6) The inhouse SPA was really awesome, best I have had till now.

Bad points:
1) Even after requesting to have the rooms together with pool view, we didnt get all the rooms together
2) The pool timings are till 6:00 pm only, which was not very pleasant as we wanted to swin only after sunset
3) The receptionist did not give us the wifi details on check in even though it was free. We had to ask her 2-3 times to get it
4) Breakfast time is really bad: 7:30 to 9:30. I dont want to get up early on my vacation, that also for breakfast. Also the variety & quality of breakfast was not so good.
5) Being a 4 star, they should provide atleast 2 complimentary bottles of water on daily basis.

Room Tip: 1) Do not take bikes from shop near the hotel. That guy is a big cheater 2) Ask for the wifi detail...

Thankyou for your feed back,Sonesta inns is a 3star resort with four star ammenities
The breakfast timings are from 7.30 a.m to 9.30 a.m which is extendable to 10A.M
The pool is not manned by a person after 6p.m and hence the safety issue is to be considered and also because the pool is clorinated
For the free WIFI connection you have to take a user name and password from the reception
Complimentary 2 bottles of water are offered in the suite rooms and are replinished on a daily basis
We hope to see you again

Visited this place the second time in the last week of October 2011. The last visit was in 2009.

Finding the place - though i was famaliar with the location, i really wish they had a bigger sign visible from both directions of the main road.

Reception - slightly laid back - but they get what needs to be done - done effeciently through simple enough processes. they could be a wee bit more responsive - but service is acceptable.

Rooms. Spacious with a good balcony accessible to all rooms. the rooms are ageing and should need a good makeover within the next season. On a positive note - the rooms are bright - both with artificial and natural lighting. Normal amenities exist - TV, minibar, a digital code safe, good functional storage, phones, seating, kettle and tea kit, room service menu, desk, split airconditioner that is silent. What could be better is a better finish on some of the interior decorations (some concealed lighting becomes visible from certain angles (night stand lights).

Washrooms. Functional, reasonably clean, ours had a good shower (on the last visit we had a tub - so ask for a room with a tub if you want one). What could be better if they had better quality tissue, soap, conditioner, lotion and disposables (shower caps, sanitary bags). Towels were towels but definitely need renewal (they have been through laundry one too many times and are fairly harsh now. If you are traveling with children - bring your own soft ones)

Room service and restaurant - Responsive - but there's no master chef behind the kitchen door. the food is good - but not hugely apetizing - you will satisfy your hunger - but not palette. Anyway - this is goa - visiting a traditional goan restaurant will get that sorted over some part of your trip. The catering staff are cheerful and helpful to end things positively. The same goes for the breakfast service. Reasonable - but not great. Just ok to ensure you dont leave hungry. (breakfast timings however are limited between 730 and 930 - so be sure to get up and grab it as they close up pretty much on the dot of 930 / 10.

Pool - well kept and clean. may be a tad too much chlorine. so dont live in the pool. The pool access is also restricted between 8 am and 6 pm. nothing after.

Surroundings: The resort does have access to the beach (candolim - and practically all other beaches on that stretch - calangute, baga etc etc. Candolim is fairly quiet and nice compared to the more commercial portions of the beachfront. There is a lot of cuisine available around the resort - so no need to panic if you really want to get something different. There are good department stores within a kilometer in any direction (except the beach ofcourse).

Parking - reasonably safe - with space for about 10 cars if parked well (just outside the gate and 2,3 cars inside.

Value for money - goa is getting increasingly expensive - so i find it hard to make a statement. I would say that Sonesta hangs right in between of being expesive and affordable. It however attracts a good educated middle class crowd.

For kids: nothing much besides a tiny kiddy pool. Remember to bring your own floats. They do have a pool guard between 8am and 6pm.
