I was at Goa the first week of November & was recommended this hotel by Signature Holidays, Bangalore. I stayed for 2 days, & it was a very pleasant stay. No cause for complaints at all.

The hotel has very decent rooms & a very big & spacious swimming pool. The food wasn't all that expensive either. Overall, it was a very good experience.

It's not far from the more popular Calangute beach - about 10 minutes ride from the hotel. Nice little balcony facing the swimming pool. The hotel has the appearance of separate blocks with each block having 6-8 rooms.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms face the swimming pool. Do not take the ground floor rooms as the pool view is blo...

My friend and I went here on 10/11/12 for a week of Indian summer! Boy did we get it , it was up in the 90's every day with not a cloud In site!

The hotel was nice, basic but very clean and staff were very friendly! We had a pool view room which was nice and pool grounds were very good and clean. Pool towels are supplied and room was cleaned every day and to a good enough standard- despite some if the reviews in here! I would recommend this hotel but remember it Is India and not gonna be to the standard of a London hotel but I'm sure you will have a great stay here!

Breakfast was nothing fancy toast and jam but for what we paid we just ate out each morning- no problem!

Pool boys were very friendly and welcoming and work very hard! Always offering fresh towels!

Bulldog beach shack does an amazing prawn biriyani and serinda the owner a lovely guy, who will look after you!

Great restaurants in Candolim.... Infernos, bistro, victors, fishermans cove and mango grove you will have fantastic food at all of these, my favs were inferno and bistro!

Hope this review helps! Have a great stay:)

Outside looks discusting but staff are brill, rooms clean we saw no insects etc the whole time (except a little mouse in the foyer). Shower gel, soap and pool towels are supplied unlike negative replies to my pre holiday questions. Clean towels every day. Would return but if you booking remember it is INDIA and breakfast consists basically of toast and jam. Good location and preferred it to Highland Beach.

Room Tip: Overlooking pool as outside view is horrible.

we stayed in alor grande for 4 days in month of march. we had a pleasant stay. complementary breakfast and dinner were good. we tasted only vegetarian food. we did not take the bus tour as it was crowded and the common tour did not give us ample time to visit the places of our choice. apart from tht the stay was peaceful.

Room Tip: rooms off swimming pool are quieter.

Stayed at this hotel in 2010 with family. The room we stayed in was a bedroom + 1 kitchen. I failed to understand the relevance of having a kitchen in a hotel room. Its just wastage of space.

Cleanliness: The hotel has a lot to make up for in the cleanliness department. The bedsheets are not so clean and the sofas and chairs are stained. Really not worth the money one pays for in this hotel.

Food: Average nothing out of the world

Price This property is high priced compared to some really good properties nearby.

Swimming Pool: Only good feature about the hotel. Try to get a pool facing room.

Accessibility: Bang on the candolim road. readily accessible.

Room Tip: Get a pool facing room

My son and I planned a trip to Goa through IRCTC. The hotel was nice and clean. We liked the swimming pool. The service could have been better. The food was fine for our taste buds. It is good for a family trip to Goa. My son loved it!

This was the first place my friend and I stayed at in India. It wasn't too bad- the food was all good (though breakfast finished a little early for us) and the pool area was lovely. The room was comfortable, though the bathroom often became full of puddles (leaked from the toilet, I'm guessing) and was right next to the kitchen area (we could hear all the shouting and general racket very clearly).

The pillow could have been cleaner- the sheets and pillowcases were all clean, but the pillow itself... eugh. Though we saw much worse during our trip. There was also laundry service, but my friend got hers back a day later than promised- no real reason given but they did call to let us know.

We also met a lovely guy named Ziya who has a jewellery shop right near reception. He was so friendly and gave me and my friend lots of advice, and a little goodbye gift each!
