Went with my Girlfriend in a rather off-season.
Its a nice cozy place. Rooms are well maintained.
The service was close to excellent. The food in the restaurant was unreasonable high.
The accessibility to main areas was good. It is right next to Kingfisher Villa.
Taj Vivanta was also nearby. It had a swimming pool which was maintained nicely.
Room-service was nice as well.

All in all a great stay for a limited budget.

Having just returned from this hotel, on the whole we had a brilliant time but this was thanks to the people we went with. Very small hotel really which meant staff were very attentive. Food O K for a 3* but ice cream for dessert at lunch and evening, apart from the a' la carte and gala evenings gets a bit monotonous. Unless you enjoy indian breakfasts, get used to having your eggs different ways and order toast off waiter as the machine is extremely slow. Also, when you arrive if you are allocated a room beginning J or K, especially K as you will look out onto a brick wall, as for a different room. The tailor on site is brilliant and the shirts and outfits he made for my friends were beautiful and very cheap. Shops just to the left of the hotel which were welcome as we could walk off our evening meal. Unable to telephone home from hotel but telephone just up the road is very very cheap, you pay after your call.

Beach isn't the best really and the stranded tanker doesn't make a pleasant sight and the waves can be quite ferocious. Manicures on the beach are so cheap, 250 rupees and it was beautiful - little stones making a pattern on them which added a nice touch. I think the lady's name was Alicia and her and her hubby run one of the bars on the beach a little way up from Aldeia Beach. Make sure you visit Mandarin beach where you will be offered fresh fish for your lunch and the one just before it - can't remember the name but the taxi driver will know it - it starts with an A - sorry but it is well worth a visit as the waves are so gentle.

On the whole, as I said we did have a lovely holiday but would not return to this hotel but were grateful they let us keep our rooms until we left to come home which was a nice touch as we usually have to pay for this.

Goa is a beautiful country and having stayed in a 5* and 3*, would thoroughly recommend paying the extra.

I hope this helps with your holiday choice.

Having been to Goa and Kerala a number of times previously, we were not disappointed with the standard of this hotel. The rooms were kept very clean with the obligatory towel art left daily! The rooms were not as large as others we have stayed at, however, when they are used mainly as a base, this does not cause a problem. Travelling with a group which consisted of a couple of older family members, meant that the mainly Goan cuisine served at the hotel, was not always to the whole groups liking, but this is in no way a reflection on the standard of food being served. The staff, as we have come to expect in Goa, were only too happy to help in any way that they could. The hotel was extremely accommodating to our needs, and allowed us to keep one of our rooms until our pickup time at 20.30, and continue to use bar and restaurant under the full board plus package, even though our checkout time was 12.00. All this at no extra charge. A very pleasant stay.

this was our second time at the Aldeia Santa Rita and it was even better. We were given the same room as last year, lovely comfy bed, great shower, beautifully clean and nothing too much trouble. The staff here are brilliant, incredibly helpful and friendly. Food was very good but we did eat out several times as we like to get our and about. The beach nearby was better this time as they have cleared it up alot, last year the monsoon was particularly bad and the beach was very badly hit, this year was much better and we walked down to the beach from the hotel quite a few times and sat by the little shack. Wonderful holiday, wish it had been longer. Will definitely return next year, thanks guys.

This is our second trip to Goa but the first time to the Santa Rita. Like most people we did our research before booking and seen the rave reviews and decided it was worth a go. On arrival approx 1am we were shown to our room it is very basic but on the whole clean and quite big. The beds are quite hard which I am not used to so not the most comfortable of sleeps but it was'nt to much of a problem. Breakfasts were ok with a choice of 2 cereals, toast and a chef to prepare eggs any way you wanted them and fruit which is the only time throughout the day fruit was available which was very disappointing. The lunches and evening meals were excellent especially the a la carte nights which are every other night the selection and quality of food is brilliant a real taste of India. The main downside to the meals are the deserts, I have quite a sweet tooth but every lunch and most nights the only option is ICE CREAM. This is served to you in a tiny silver dish with no help yourself options as is the norm for all inclusive. On the a la carte nights there were 2 other choices but the slice of apple pie was so small it was not worth having they really need to look at this. Gala nights once a week there was a cake so the boat was pushed out that night!!
The staff at the hotel are excellent they can not do enough for you especially maurice and lorna on reception they always were friendly and had a smile for you nothing was a problem. The shops and restaurants in Candolim are typical indian fare with crafts and jewellers tailors and clothes shacks it was busy but not to much hassle which was great, the hotel is very close to the Kingfisher Villa where the owner of Kingfisher beer lives I think we helped his profits a little bit on our stay but were also surprised how good some of the local wines were so worth a try.
If we return to Goa we probably would not go back to this hotel there is nothing I can say that was a bad experience or was wrong with the hotel it just was not for us it was mainly an older age group to ourselves ,they were all friendly but there was not a great mix of age groups so we were a little bit out on a limb. I would still recommend using this hotel as I say this is not a bad review of the hotel just not suitable for us.

For my first time in Goa, I struck gold. The hotel was so lovely with large airy rooms, some with separate lounge. It was the friendliest hotel I have ever been to and Lorna on reception could not have been more helpful. Orlando and his team in the restaurant made you feel like part of their family and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all for a wonderful introduction to your country. I will be back next year!
