We have just returned from this hotel. Party of 4 in a 2 week stay. This was our first visit to goa.

Let's get the negatives out the way first. Poor lighting and storage in the room and a strange scenario of no separate toilet by the pool. We had to use the one in the spa room. No mirror in main room for straighteners etc...

The staff at the restaurant pool and reception were friendly helpful and efficient. The hotel was set in rustic style surroundings which really worked and led directly onto the beach...

The location was good. Near to shops bars and restaurants but not on top of them.

Overall - a good experience and would return again.

We stayed in The O Hotel & Spa Candolim in January 2014. Having read various comments on this Hotel and seen pictures from other guests I was wishing we had not booked this Hotel.
But on arriving we were pleasantly surprised as this is a very nice Hotel and can't think why the pictures I saw did not do justice. We were met at the main gate and taken by golf buggy to reception having stopped at the bar first to be passed a complementary drink and a shell necklace to wear. All the staff were friendly; my favourite being Brian in the bar, it was a week into the holiday before trying the bar as drinks are more expensive than in town, please don't let the cost put you off too much as Brian is great entertainment. If we are to have a moan the only things that could be made better is that rooms are ready on arrival, the pool tiles tidied up and the spa costs be a little cheaper as these are European prices, having said that the treatments are top quality.
Bhagwan is the pool man come life guard; he is a very nice man who will put a towel on you're sunbed and even bring you a pillow, he is very attentive and will even help you turn the bed to face the sun if required. the rooms are very clean and the bathrooms to a good standard. We would not hesitate to go to this hotel again as some guests we spoke to have gone back for the last six years.

We stayed here at the end of a tour of Southern India and enjoyed a few days chilling out on the beautiful beach.

The O hotel is a slightly weird property. It's long and narrow and you would easily pass by without seeing it. To get to reception you walk or a driven along the side and you do wonder where you are being taken! But once you are in, the public areas are beautifully furnished and well maintained.

But the rooms are stylish and comfortable. I think the upstairs ones are much better - quieter, lighter and a little larger well equipped with efficient air con.

Breakfast was excellent with just about everything you could possible wish for. We didn't try dinner here, opting for room service one evening and eating tapas-style dishes in the bar another. What was really strange is that the restaurant and bar seemed really quiet even though the hotel was full.

I promised that I would mention Siddesh here. He makes the meanest Mojitos :)

Downsides? Well the pool is small but why come to Goa and not go onto the beautiful beach and swim in the warm sea?
And I would not rush back to Candolim which seemed to completely lack the charm of almost everywhere else I have visited in India.

Having returned from yet another visit to the O Resort. We have to write and congratulate Mario and his team for another great holiday experience. If you have not visited this hotel then you are missing out. This was our fifth stay at the O Resort. Situated at the quieter end of Candolim but within easy reach of restaurants, shops etc.
Your wish is the staffs command and anything you ask for is provided promptly and with a smile.
Food at this hotel is excellent. Great range of breakfast choices. O shack dining is wonderful and Narsing looks after his guests well. The chefs are great and catered for my gluten free diet. If you do require GF be advised Newtons supermarket do stock some GF products but may be best to take your own pasta as not always available.
We would like to thank all the dining room staff especially Aston, Noel, Kakulo, Cruz, Minguel, Henry, Sagar and Melvin sorry we cant mention all the boys.
Siddesh and Brian at the lounge bar and the pool bar staff for their excellent service.
Housekeeping also require a mention Chandon and his boys especially Ramm who kept our room spotless throughout our stay.
The pool although small was well looked after by Bhagwam who couldn't do enough to make you comfortable.
The ground staff and pest control keep the hotel gardens beautifully and always greet you warmly they really must be credited for all their hard work.
Thanks once again and god willing we will be back next year to see great friends.

Last week i visited THE 'O' Hotel, Candolim, GOA with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Property wise it is very good place, well maintained, room services and excellent location.

The one missing part what we had faced, The Hotel not lively in-terms of ANY ACTIVITY. We had visited Goa Specially to celebrate Valentine Day. On the day, we really very depressed there was no any arrangement or any kind of party, music by the hotel side. Even on weekend, we didn't found any single activity by Hotel's side. We have to depend on other restaurants and places for enjoy the special day and the evening time music and drink/dine.

When Hotel having good location good staff, they should more active to engage their Guest so they don't need other place to move on. Rest of the for the traveler who coming GOA for the peaceful environment, this is best-est option for them. Thanks
Rahul Pandey

The best hotel we have stayed in - anywhere. Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and kind and they made our stay memorable. Special mention for Siddesh, Kukalo, Bhagwan, Brian and Cruz who entertained us and pointed us to the delights of Candolim. Room service was excellent and efficient. Our room was well furnished and the food on offer was of a high quality. Atmosphere was just right for us and we will be returning next year. There are more luxurious hotels to be had here, but we could not find a fault with the O and would recommend it to anyone unreservedly.
See you next year!

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms are quieter, especially on the nights when people are booking in. South side room...
