“Value for Money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

The hotel offers a great location - step out of the gate and on the Candolim Beach.
Greats:
1) The staff is courteous and the service attitude is fantastic. We stayed for 6 nights and during the entire duration, the service staff was very courteous and prompt. For any request, the staff was there at the door in no more than 3 minutes.
Average:
1) The rooms are average and basic things like Tissue box, room slippers were missing upon check-in and had to be requested, which was promptly delivered.
2) The Breakfast was very average and the only saving grace were the live counters, eggs etc. The chefs need to improve on the South Indian dishes. The breakfast area was uncomfortable owing to the flies(may be because of monsoon) season. Thankfully, the management shifted the breakfast to Banquet hall at first floor on two days.
3) The toilets are not equipped with jet showers and with kids, the paper tissues can be inconvenient.
Bad:
1) The room service is menu is too expensive and discourages the guest to go in for room service. If the hotel genuinely wants to increase the F&B revenue, it is highly recommended they drop the room service menu prices, wherein the guest actually order more instead of opting for cheaper options nearby.
2) The pool is too small and if you intend to spend good time at the pool, the property definitely is not recommended. The walking area around the pool could be better maintained as some of the tiles were actually covered with green algae making it dangerous and slippery to walk.

Overall a great experience staying at this hotel purely because of the excellent service and staff's attitude.

Will come again to stay at this hotel and hope the above concerns are addressed by then. The hotel is family friendly and this aspect is much appreciated.

Room Tip: The only rooms offering a decent view are in the 701-710 (Deluxe Category)

Stayed here for one week, Now i have travelled the world over and i feel this hotel is mainly for Indians looking for Indian Veg Food, being a 5 star i was suprised that the menu every day was almost the same. Although i can eat vegetarian its not to say much about the place.

The pool is small and always crowded. the rooms are not the same some rooms have fans the others have different lighting and that's not to say much for a 5 star hotel.

the Savign grace for the hotel is its staff they are awesome and really helpful.

the Breakfast was the only thing we ate at the hotel which was like i mentioned substandard. the rooms are decent.

Not a real 5 star

Room Tip: the the deluxe rooms not the standard ones they are really shady.

hi guys stayed there for two nights with family on the 17th and 18th june. reached the hotel after 27 hours of train journey, moreover it was raining like hell , to my utter surprise the lady at the reception demanded the balance package amount before handing the keys. this gesture really pissed us off . being an absolute no fuss person i demanded the bell boys to open my bag there so that i could pay cash.

no complimentary kids activity. have to pay around rs 100 for every 10 min kids activity.

I love the O hotel!! Fantastic value for money. Great 5 star service, a great variety of delicious meals, clean rooms, common areas. Friendly and attentive staff, they will even keep your baby entertained so you can chat!! The only downside is having to pay for wifi, other than that, its easily the best place to stay. It is situated on a busy street, but once you come into the premises, you feel like you have stepped into an oasis, so much peace and quiet, and such beautiful surroundings! The compound slopes down to the beach. There is also good security at both gates. I would visit the O hotel over and over again, I love it!

This hotel was such a change of pace from everywhere else we had stayed on our trip. The rooms were perfect, great pool, and the food/room service was really good. Everyone on our trip used the spa for massages, manicures, and pedicures at reasonable prices (compared to the states). You have to pay for wifi, but it's inexpensive and the most reliable I had used during my trip. If I were to return to Goa I would stay anywhere else.
