Description: Indian Spice has been serving authenticity to a bouquet of travellers for over a decade now, it's terra-earthen set up blends well with this fine establishment's rustic cuisine, keeping all things flavoursome and clasically Indian. It's central location does get the better of one's curiosity, making it a delightful find for travelers who want to taste north India and don't have the time to go there. Furthermore, it's homey Goan menu brings out all the unique flavours which too are classic and authentic.

“Top restaurant of our holiday”
Reviewed March 15, 2011

We were in Calangute for three weeks jan/feb. This was the best restaurant we found. Staff was very polite, you got real napkins, some bread before meal etc...

I really recommend this place because food was everytime excellent, prices are almost too low compared what you get. You can get anything (except fish) less than 150 rupiee.
Tandoor manu is excellent.

There were in Baga for example some "plastic chair" places where you got bad food with 250 rupii.

We ate there 5 times and everytime it was excellent.

2nd time we got there, that older staff guy remembered us immediately and it felt like we are some regular customers there :) It was nice.

Its a nice place catered more to foreigners so expect the food to be bland if you are indian. Otherwise nice for a meal, not too expensive, bad bathroom if it matters to you
Ask for a finger bowl they dont give it.

“The best Punjabi Food in Baga, Goa”
Reviewed January 9, 2010

We did a family holiday this Christmas in Goa. After several meals with local Goan food, we decided to try north Indian cuisine for a change. We ate at Indian Spice which was one of the most authentic Punjabi restaurants that we have ever been to. We loved the food, the entertainment and most importantly the friendly and attentive service of Mr. Bakshi. Thank you for a fantastic evening which we will remember for a long time. We plan to eat there everytime we visit Goa.

Warning - you may need a cab back home since the food is soo good that you may tend to eat more than you can and find it difficult to walk back home :-)

“Best restaurant in the area”
Reviewed December 12, 2009

This restaurant is superb. The food is presented well. The staff are polite and friendly and the actual restaurant is beautiful. There is a lovely atmosphere as soon as you enter, even if your the only people in there you do not feel awkward.
We ordered two main dishes, Chicken Tikka Masala (NOT the red rubbish you get here) and a Chicken Jalfrezi (my husband said it was the best one he had ever eaten!), a side dish, rice and bread. I had two vodkas and coke, my husband had a glass of wine (expensive in Goa) and we both had about 3 honeybees each. The whole bill came to £13 between us.
The owner is a lovely person who will email you any recipes from the menu telling you how to cook them.
The Restaurant is on the main baga Road not far from the junction of calengute.
Don't get this restaurant confused with indian Kitchen, which is the worst place ever.
Hope you go. It is well worth it.
