A very nice, quiet place for weekend gateaway as well as mini vacation. The resort is located just walking distance away from the famous nagoa beach. Hotel rooms are very comfortable, with good furnishing and nice interiors. Swimming pool is quite relaxing with surroundings of lush green trees (hoka trees).

We stayed at the Hoka for nearly one week at the end of our 5-weeks trip through North India and this hotel has been the best by far!

Nice property (inner court with big trees and small pool), excellent breakfast/food in general and very friendly and helpful staff. We felt like home.

Let me begin by saying that the “Diu” experience is incomplete without your stay at “The Hoka Resort”. The stay here will ensure that you truly enter into the “Diu state of mind”.

I stayed here for 4 nights and have only wonderful things to say. Spacious & clean rooms with nice bright colors and comfortable beds to sleep on. The resort has no room service. Although there is no internet or wi-fi in your rooms, you can surf the net at the reception of the resort. Alternatively, if you are carrying your Laptop, recommend that you carry a data card along with you. The resort is very honest in disclosing all this upfront with a board stating "no room service" right at the check in desk, and if you are the kinds who is looking for luxury at your door step, then it’s not your cup of tea. Hoka offers tranquility & peace of mind. Be it lying on the hammock for hours together or be it sitting in the lounge reading your favourite book; or catching a game of carom or scrabble with your companions. The staff is extremely warm, courteous and helpful. Do ask for things to do in Diu and the best beaches to visit; they will guide you perfectly. You can also rent a bike / cycle and go around the island of diu (recommended). The food offered is freshly prepared and delicious.

The resort is pet friendly :) and has a resident cat and a dog who has adopted the resort.

The beach is 100 meters walk from the resort from where you can catch excellent sunrises. People who like to jog in the morning, do carry your jogging shoes, as catching the sun rise on the Nagoa beach on your morning jog is the heart warming feeling.

All in all Hoka offers a nice homely feeling and is definitely the best place to stay in Diu.

Resort Hoka, is a beautiful and cozy little hotel near Nagoa Beach, Diu. Hoka has around 14 rooms, 3 standard and the rest deluxe. The tariffs are competitive and good value for money. Tariffs range from 1500 (off season) to 3000 (peak season). Although it does not have a view to the sea but the small swimming pool makes up for its absence.

Homely services and lovely food add up to this all. If you love tranquility and is looking for a trip to Diu, Hoka is the place to be.

We're just back from an 8-day trip to Diu. It was the most relaxing trip I've ever been to. And I must say staying at Hoka was the best decision.

The resort has been done very tastefully. The hoka trees within the property and portugese touch with the use of bright colors is very Diu!

Mind you the accomodation is pretty basic, but the place puts you at ease the moment you enter, and it grows on you :)
There is a small pool for a quick dip, but the sitting area around the pool was my favorite place to catch some sun.

Right next to the restaurant is a small open area where they do bonfires every night. The bon fires and chit chat you have around them will be alive in your memories for a long time.

The staff is very helpful. Sandeep, Som, and Pramod went out of their way to make things comfortable for us. The food is just excellent, light and yummy.

We were very lucky to find the owner of the property at the resort. He was very helpful and guided us on a lot of off-the-beat places.
3 cheers to Resort Hoka for keeping the spirit of Diu alive!

Hoka is an oasis. I won't say more-it has character, style and great relaxed atmosphere. Compared to the crap that I saw elsewhere on the islands which were typical hotels where people wouldn't come out of their AC rooms--hoka encourages you the explore and be a part of the community.

after the disastrous start at the azzaro... the hoka was a chance discovery when we rented our mobike.. one look around made us race back to Hoka the Resort after checking out of Azzaro (the crappiest place.. food is awful at Azzaro and their spa is yet to see light of day)..

from the manager to the chef to the housekeeping staff all in all to be given a top TEN rating!

the food is to die for... Hoka The Resort.. you folks have won our hearts and we have already recommended you to a whole load of friends!

the team was superb and even cooked our catch of the day which we picked from the local fish market.. great crabs (they beat the trishna in their cooking the garlic butter pepper crabs), amazingly prepared prawns and the grilled pomfret were to die for.

In addition, the chef's own preparation of prawn curry and king fish was true Indian gourmet!

thank you Hoka The Resort.. you made our anniversary even more special!”
