“Not much of a Fort”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Also known as Nani Daman Fort, this one is the smaller of the two forts in Daman. The area is poorly maintained & there is not a lot to see here except 'Our lady of the Sea Church', which was closed when we got there in evening. But, it does offer some nice views of the river & sea from the top of the walls.

“Magnificent location and nice view”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

The view from the ramparts near the lighthouse is quite good. Wish the area was maintained more cleanly. Its quite big inside so need a car to drive around, not that there's anything to do. The drive around the outer fort wall is nice.

“St jerome fort”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Its one of the two forts in daman at a walkable distance from taxi stand. Nice place to be in morning and evening to view sunrise and sunset. Within the boundary of the fort is Our lady of the sea church and a cemetry. The main entrance facing the sea is in very bad condition still one can get good views from the top and fewphotography points also. But dont forget the jetty rolls just outside the boundary of the fort, the lorris starts the stall in evening around 5pm nly and within 3-4 hrs everythng is being consumed. Very cheap and quiet delicicoius. A visit to fort served with jetty rolls will be a perfect outing. Now after dawn stalls are set up aligning the boundary of the fort. Can have a stroll there in the evening with cooool breeze flowing.....

“Small fort but cool place to hang out.”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

St. Jerome's Fort is a small fort but very good views from the top of the fort walls looking out towards Moti Daman and the light house along with the bridges connecting them. There is a small cemetery within the walls as well as a church and a newly built school too.
