“hotel was good, but visiting the city was a waste of time.”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

staying is comfortable and also they don't charged xtra for the children's bed. well, till breakfast it's ok. but prefer not to go for lunch and dinner. there r many other places outside, to have ur food and that also cheaper. the hotel is situated in the best place of daman. overall, if u want to visit daman, take this hotel. well rooms r ok, but the showers r in a very awkward position. even, the doors for bathroom, does'nt have lock from inside. for couples, it's ok, but for family with small children, it may become embarrasing.

The place turned out to be better than what we expected in terms of food, room, service, and comfort. Our return on the time and money we invested in this place was superb. Its easily reachable, and also close to Daman's attraction points.

i visited your resort last weekend on 30th November to 1st December 2013 for a short gathering with my family members. This was basically my 4th trip to your resort, i really wonder and being very honest since there is nothing much to see in Daman only if you enjoy getting high with drinks. But your resort really motivates me to spend my weekend along with my family time and again also giving me an excellent feeling of relaxation, peace and tranquility. I find your property excellent, good rooms choices, appropriate location and the most important reasonable cost for all levels of people.

This trip of mine was the first time where i seen the changeover from Full fledged Buffet to Al-a-carte. I felt your resort had its own better charm and uniqueness when it had a Full Fledged Buffet Lunch/Dinner, but i respect the cost budget constraint as far as the Management is concerned. So i would request the Management to think over 2 important suggestions such as:----

1) Reconsidering the proposal of the Buffet system since it gives a full fledged Lunch/Dinner in all aspect . OR. Increase your reasonable cost as your resort already have a expression among users that's its the best weekend gateway anyone will find in the city of Daman.
2) Kindly consider the Breakfast time to atleast 8.a.m because sometimes users like us don't bring our cars always, we prefer traveling by train and most of the comfortable trains to reach mumbai leaves vapi around 9.30 a.m. to 10.30.a.m. So in short to summarize when we come to your resort we do feel ourselves ease and relaxed. We would surely appreciate that we leave the resort with belly full breakfast till we reach home back again.

So once again hats off to all the guys handling the show in your resort, keep it up and i hope our advise would be at least thought or even given some priority for consideration..

Cheers

Nelson D'souza

Lovely place to stay and enjoy with a small group or maybe alone too. The rooms are nice and cozy with good view if you take the rooms facing the pool. This november was my second stay.. the breakfast was sufficient with lovely banana milkshake. They provide comfy bedding in case of an extra child. Only thing which preplexes me this time and last time was the bathrooms.. they have almost full glass walls. Of course nothing is seen from outside.. but seriously.. glass walls and no latches on the sliding doors.. so if you book in with your family with small children who dont understand " I am going inside for a pee pee.. dont come barging in..." they will smile and do right just that! Other than that, I will of course go back to the pretty hotel. They provide you with badminton rackets, a cute disco with all families jiggling away and cooperative staff. Also one of the beaches is right across the hotel.

My first experience at this property was good. Though I could not avail their booking facility in Mumbai(last minute decisions on our part)& online booking is available, I preferred to check the place before committing. On Weekends they are mostly full & it is recommended to book well in advance. Reaching on a Friday morning,we got what we wanted(room for 4 people) after landing at the resort. The resorts location, though not on the beach itself is just across the beach(you just cross the road). The reception staff was very courteous & patient in face of a huge crowd waiting to check-in! We opted for a ground floor room(the first floor has an inviting open balcony for cozying-up evenings!) in their "Villa" section, which offers more privacy & better layout. The room wasn`t cramped but spacious, clean with fresh sheets/stainfree pillow covers/ fresh blankets/stainfree-towels & a clean bathroom. The aircon was super-efficient & had to be toned down. The food was good by local standards, room-service staff very courteous & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was fulfilling, though lacking variety. Overall, a good, pleasurable experience. The property seems to be well managed by the present GM Mr. Maniar. Looking forward to a longer stay in their upcoming beach-front property opposite the present one.Recommended for friends as well as family stay.

Room Tip: The 1st floor rooms in the "Villa" section are the best.

My first visit to SSBR (Silver Sands Beach Resort - Daman) was a solo trip. Having experienced the lovely place, I decided to visit the same. This time, it was a family trip (Wife and my parents). As usual, we had a lovely experience at this place.

The check-in was a smooth process. We took the highest class rooms (803/804 I think). While the ground floor room was brilliant, the 1st floor room had a bit of peeled paint on one of the walls. I guess the damp climate of Daman has something to do with it. Anyway, the overall experience in the room was fine. However, the 1st floor room's bathroom latch was not there. A small detail that needs to be looked at.

We had a complimentary breakfast on both days. We had fun with food. The wife and mother enjoyed a massage at their Ayurveda center.

Full marks to the food and drinks.

The manager recognized me from my previous trip! A small detail which goes a long way in providing customer satisfaction and delight.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wishes to visit Daman for holidays. (both Business and Pleasure)

Room Tip: Take the highest category rooms. They're worth the extra bucks you spend. The food is excellent...
