Was out with family to celebrate my 1st wedding anniversary. Am glad i chose Silver Sands as the venue. A very beautifully made up place. Clean Neat and very Hospitable. Courteous staff. Great Food... The Buffet spread was limited and apt and the taste was just too good compelling all of us to over eat. The staff is very courteous and ready to help you even for the smallest of requests. One of us has slipped and hurt his knee and bang on the pain reliever was provided... The list goes on am falling short of words to express. All in all would say the choice made by me was a good one. Would recommend it to all friends and family and would surely visit again

I stayed in the long independence weekend. The package which was offered to me was slighly expensive but that was fine looking at the rush of the long weekend.

The hotel is in nani daman (old daman), close to the devaka beach. You just have to cross the road to be on the beach.

The hotel has two category of rooms, one is the regular and the other crown club. I didn't get a peep at regular ones but the crown club rooms are great. Nicely maintained, clean with all basic ammentities. The beds have very low height and are on a wooden platform. It gives a different feel altogether. The service in the room is very prompt. Be it, housekeeping or room service.

Pool table, carrom, chess and other games are there but they are aveage. Swimming pool is not too big and shallow. I did not take a dive myself so won't comment much.

The only point of concern was the food and it's quality. The guys at the hotel need to seriously work on all areas...tastes, quality and the presentation too. For e.g. a person doesn't expect a chicken manchurian to be full of bones. To be blunt, food sucks big time.

Alchol is over priced so it is strongly recommended to buy it from the zillion shops available in daman at one third the price. The hotel guys don't make too much noise about it if you drink it within your own room. You just cannot carry it in the restaurant area.

About Daman, not much to do in the city. Just 2 beaches and few unmanaged old forts. So if you are going to be low on activity this is the place.

Take Care...Have Fun & Cheers!

Room Tip: Crown Club rooms are good.

We had a family trip to Daman, last weekend. We had booked Silver Sands Beach Resort. The room was clean but small. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was not great. The swimming pool is good with a seperate area for small kids. The food is complimentary (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and was good and hot. The room service is quick and resonably priced. The resort is quite close to the beach. Overall a good place for family weekend but slightly expensive.

We had no booking at this resort and just went on a whim though i had read reviews which seemed quite good.Reception was amazing. We were first shown rooms on the 2nd floor which was kind of claustrophobic. We then requested for lower rooms which were provided on the lower floor adjacent each other. We went in and freshened up.The offer was for room and lunch dinner and breakfast. The Lunch was awesome. The Rotis wow...just the perfect way i love to have mine. Then we went into the pool a little later which does need some repairs as some tiles are chipped. They do have a disco which plays after they have a housie game till 11.00.I should say
Good point :Food,Location(right in front of the beach)Very helpful staff and manager
Bad points :it does need some renovation in some parts but it is negligible

A good ambient place to be with your loved ones. Its one of the few places in Daman which offers you a varied choice of rooms as well as cottages, but one needs to book the same well in advance and one shouldnt be suprised if you are been told that the rooms are not vacant. The reservations of the place can be done online as well as at their Mumbai office or at the resort itself, I prefer the Mumbai office booking as they know the exact occupancy at their end. Its really hard to get accomodation during weekends so as per me its a must to call up first, do the booking and then travel to the destination.

As I had stayed up during the Christmas holidays, the Ala- carte food option for lunch or dinner was replaced by a lovely buffet served in their Semi open restaurant facing the swimming pool, a perfect place to unwind after a swim or a Daman city tour maybe .
