This hotel is fine, it's older, clean and located in a town that you only go to for White Sands. The staff is nice. We were disappointed to find neither the hot tub or pool functional. They don't open them until May. I'm not sure that I knew that coming in. It was a warm spring day and a dip in a pool would have been nice. I really can't understand why the hot tub couldn't be a year round amenity.
The breakfast was fine, typical continental fare: yogurt, waffles (kids like them), toast, bagels, some fruit.
When I checked in I asked for a quiet room, they moved us to a corner room. They said they didn't have many guests on this night. I appreciated the gesture, but just as it was time to go to sleep, we could hear people in the room next to us. I'm not saying that we deserved a room in a wing to ourselves, but I found it strange in a hotel that was nearly empty they put someone right next to us after my request. The people were not noisy one they got settled so it worked out fine.More
